I really like the bulb and it is as advertised... daylight!But as the rest of my lighting is warm white 3000K, and this is really bright daylight, it really stands out.Perfect bulb if you're looking for a daylight bulb! (my mistake - I needed warm white!)

I bought my magnifying lamp from one of our dental supply company in 1980. The bulb has worked fine until it went out a couple of weeks ago. The dental supply company did not know of any replacement bulbs for this laght and the only ones who might , I was told retired two years ago. So this was a problem.After much research for the correct size and wattage I settled on the Sylvania Circular 8", Daylight 865.Fitted with no problems at all. Works perfectly.

I bought this few months ago, not happy, this takes more than 10 min to start lighting.

Tube getting very hot will not leave it on when not in room last one did not get hot

Use in a 20 year old magnifying circlite bench lamp in my workshop. Broke the last tube with the recoil of a solder extractor gun, but got this quickly and at a sensible price. Worked first time, good steady light, nice daylight colour (useful for reading resistor colour bands, true colours).

As the unit has not broken I replaced the tube. Rating is very greedy power consumption - less impact on environment if access to older tube units allows longer term use of equipment. I will re-order as long as tubes remain available thank you for the care taken packing this item for me
