Why does it flash when turned on

No it doesn't flash just a steady light.

Anyone know this watt equivalent to an incandescent light bulb please?

To work out a power supply for these lights they usually quote 4w per meter. Hopefully this is helpful

Hi, assuming your existing lights are very similar to these AND your old power supply is still OK, probably yes. I say that since these are not the most powerful LEDs. To reiterate, they do not have a power supply in the box, that's why you'll need the old one, if it still works OK. That's a very general answer given that we don't know what you currently have, or what's wrong with it. Hope it helps, Dave
