Tilda Pure Basmati 10kg

It is my pleasure to write a review for such lovely, crisp and pure white rice. I love it and the texture is incomparable from any other basmati rice available in market. After trying various brands, I finally stopped on Tilda. I have purchased the green packets in India and blue packets in London for my daily use. I have cooked this rice in rice cooker and as well as by traditional method of India (cooking in boiling water and draining out) there is not much difference by any ways and the rice is clean and pure white. I have created tremendous dishes out of it including Biryani, Jeera rice and Kashmiri pulao. I just love it over and over again. There is no smell after using it from refrigerator, next day and the texture remains same and each grain is separate after cooking of any dish or the plain rice itself. The rice packaging is also good, the zip is nice option to keep the rice fresh. And I use it out of the original packaging, without transferring all contents into another storage box. The delivery was also nice and fast. the cardboard box was used to keep the rice and no problem at all. Everything is great, so I do not have any complaints from my purchase from Amazon. Btw, in terms of price, its a bargain I guess. :)

Tilda rice is the best of all the basmati rice products. A favourite in our family going back over two generations.

Really good value for money for the quality of the rice unfortunately due to health condition I have very limited diet at the moment and that a bowl of boiled rice in the morning and a bowl of boiled rice in the evening and that's it I was getting fed up with buying the rice from the shops putting it in my steam cooker and it coming out all sticky loads of starch and generally just plain horrible and that was even after you've washed it while it was dry but this rice I can take straight from the bag put it in my steam cooker 34 minutes later and I took my ball out and I have a lump of ice the shape of my steamer bowl on my plate touch it with my fork or spoon and it just falls apart no starch no cloudiness just plane pure tasting quality rice cooked to perfection wear with other brands I would literally have to vary the X I cooked the same product with different bags but this one is consistent all the time I would highly recommend it and I've been on this diet now for nearly 4 months and I always used to moan about the rice but this stuff I don't get bored of it it's almost as good as if you were in the country itself eating their rice straight from the field well pond I should say and the new Ziploc that they've had added to the bag take all the air out of the bag by carefully folding it over until the rice is even with your priest scene and then just fold the top until you can pull the zip across and it almost creates a vacuum seal it takes me about 8 weeks to get through a 10 kg bag but as long as you take the air out and zip it up tight the last Cup of rice from the bag is as good as the first cup and the other thing I've noticed is when you get to the bottom you don't have all of that dust that you seem to get with other brands definitely the best 10kg bulk bag in my 50 years that I've come across not just for value for quality don't get me wrong you can get cheaper but then it tastes cheaper but it's also gluten free and as long as your sensible on how you keep it you can't go wrong even before I had to eat it daily and I got to be honest I can't wait until I can eat a steak again but getting back to the point before when we were using it just the normal cooking we had a 10 kg bag that probably last is US 4 months and I stand by what I say just take the air out of it make sure you seal it and it will be as fresh the day you finish as it was when you open it

Tilda is definitely one of the best 'big' consumer rices. This pure basmati is very light, fluffy and full of flavour when cooked properly. I've bought this exact product from here 3 times in the past year and will continue to do so. It's a good price for good quality stuff. The bag is also very strong and is fitted with a nice handy zip-seal. Enjoy!

What else can you say, rice is life, rice is love.

I always buy Tilda basmati rice, its easy to cook. When cooked the grains of rice dont stick, its fluffy but not stodgy. Also, the fragrance from the rice whilst its cooking is lovely

Ich koche viel Reis und hatte schon einige 10-kg-Säcke. Tilda zählt für mich zu den zuverlässigsten: die Körner sind lang, aromatisch und bleiben locker – kein klebriger Brei. Ich wasche den Reis zweimal, weiche ihn 20–30 Minuten ein und nutze ca. 1 : 1,5 (Reis : Wasser). So wird er körnig und leicht, auch am nächsten Tag beim Aufwärmen. Für Curry, Pilaw oder einfach mit Ghee und Salz funktioniert er ohne Drama. Im Sack finde ich nur selten Bruchreis oder Steine, was bei großen Gebinden leider nicht selbstverständlich ist. Der Beutel ist wiederverschließbar; ich fülle trotzdem einen Teil in eine Box um – praktischer in der Küche. Preislich nicht der billigste, aber die Konstanz spart Nerven. Wenn du Basmati mit echtem Duft und Biss suchst und viel kochst, ist dieser 10-kg-Sack eine solide Wahl.
