Professional clay machine with 18cm rolls and 9 different thicknesses.

Review: I would recommend - I shopped around a bit before picking out this machine as it had the best reviews. Very good, has a bolt with it so it doesn't move from the table while you're using it. I find some residue from the clay sticks to the wheels so you just have to clean it with a wet wipe before swapping colours but this is to be expected. Comes with all the different thickness settings which you can change by pulling out the knob on the side slightly and turning.

**Q: can you use ceramic clay in this**
A: You might be able to use a very fine textile on both sides of a thin slice of ceramic clay and roll them through. Complicated to clean though and the ceramic clay is water based which might encourage rusting of the machine parts that are not Teflon.

**Q: How thick is the thickest setting on this machine on a piece of clay?**
A: There are 9 settings for thickness, 9 being the thinnest, that makes 1 the thickest. I measured with business cards and 1 is 7 cards thick.

**Q: How thin does this go? Can it produce a layer less than 1mm thick (roughly the thickness of 3 or 4 playing cards)?**
A: I bought it to use to condition polymer clay, and the thinnest level gets close to that, if not even thinner.

**Q: how thick does this go? can it go to 1/4 inch or more?**
A: No, I think the widest setting is more like 1/8th". It might be 3/16th, but not 1/4 "   For thicker slabs, you would want to use an acrylic roller.

I am very please with this product, as I have been using a Pasta macnhine in the past for polymer clay work, and the polymer tended to stick to the rollers sometimes and this does not. It also has wider rollers which is brilliant. It is also value for money in my opinion, that is why I rate it as a 5 Star. Cheers Carol.
