Love using this rotisserie basket to make smoked chicken wings. Very well built and sturdy.. Only downside is that is a real PITA to clean..

Very versatile
Have done peppers, really enjoy chicken wings in it! Simple and easy to use, kind of a pain to clean but another great tool in the weber arsenal!

Quality BBQ basket
Fantastic basket that's super durable. It is important to understand that it's NOT intended for use with sauces. Rotisserie baskets, not just this one, are made for dry rubbed food only. Also, for those clean freaks, it won't be a shiny stainless steel after use. Remember, this basket is going into a 400+ degree environment with food tumbling around for quite some time. I spray it off with a garden hose after it cools and put it in the dishwasher every so often. It's may cost a little more than others, but I've been using this basket for around 2 1/2 years and it's still performing well with no issues.

Great for the right applications
As others have shared, these kinds of steel mesh baskets are hard to clean. I understood that going in, so my 1 star deduction is not for that. First the good stuff: - It's large. I was actually able to fit a 10 pound bag of Costco wings in the basket without overfilling. Everything moved around/tumbled as it should. - It's well made, high quality. No burrs or sharp edges. It's durable enough that it should last for years with proper care. The clasps are spring loaded and work well, the hinge functions as it should. The set screws have large thumb areas and make it easy to tighten against your rotisserie skewer. Also easy to remove at the end. - As a mesh basket, your food will not fall out. The middle separator is a good idea and will keep different items apart during a cook. Now for the cautions: - It is constructed of a fairly fine stainless steel mesh. That's a plus when you consider small items that might otherwise fall out. However, that same fine mesh can act as a heat barrier or deflector. I made a large batch of wings, which all got cooked to the proper temperature, but they did not crisp up at all. A wider mesh or set of bars (as in some of the other baskets) would have better exposed the chicken to the direct heat (I used a ramped charcoal setup with the heat concentrated at one end of my grill). I also made the avoidable mistake of adding sauce to the wings halfway through the cook (started with dry rub, then aded sauce). I was warned of this, but thought I'd try that anyway. The sauce further 'clogged' the mesh, likely adding to the lack of crispness in the result. As for cleaning, yes I was warned, but I went through an extensive process to bring this product back to original condition. For those interested, I used a tall pot (a turkey fryer) and filled it with water and brought it to a boil. I then placed the basked in the pot vertically, and it was still taller than the water level. I let it sit for a few minutes in the boiling water, then I lifted it out and put it in the opposite way. I did this several times and the basket still was pretty clogged with sauce, grease, etc. So I then brought it to the sink and worked on it with a nylon dish brush. That got the big stuff off. I then put the basket - open-faced - on the bottom rack of my dishwasher and ran a pots&pans setting. That pretty much brought it back. A good product for the right use. I think french fries and vegetables would be good candidates for this basket, and I intend to try that next. In the meantime, I'm looking at alternative baskets for cooking chicken wings or other meats.

An absolute game changed for grilling veggies.
Large capacity, great design. easy access to buckles which I can unclip even when hot without gloves, Buckles location and design allow quickly flick it open before burning fingers. I used to grill my veggies in an open top basket, having to stand next to it making sure it doesn't get burned unevenly, now only doing it in this on rotisserie. Yes, cleaning is a pain, but so was the opentop basket. Get some Dawn ultra foam to clean it.
