Why not add measurements into uk feet and inches ? please

The only imperial measurement of distance still in common use within the United Kingdom is the mile. Probably won't be much use on the dimensions of the axe. Also worth noting there are only 3 countries world wide not on the metric system. Alternatively there's this new post metrication thing called the Internet. A quick search would answer all those your questions.

Will this take and hold a proper sharp edge for cutting thin kindling?

Hi, I have only had the axe for a few months but so far it has stayed sharp but I have bought the Fiskars sharpening tool with it and it seems to work well. I use the axe for making kindling and its great so far. I am using it a lot at the moment as I have bought an old unmaintained house which even has self seeded trees in the flowerbeds.

Is the back of this axe designed to be used as a hammer??

No. The back of this axe has a forging ridge on the back. I have one and would never use this axe (or any other axe) as a hammer.

Does this come with a sheath as I intend to take it wild camping.

Yes. The plastic packaging also acts as a sheath. A clever but simple design although it does make the overall footprint a bit bigger. You can see it in the photos.
