Works with most linux distros out of the box, Mint/studio/ubuntu. Bought this item to replace an older adptor, range is good and can see a lot more networks than I used to be able to. NOTE: This product is recommended in several guides for kali linux. It does work but you may need to use the aircrack drivers instead of the ones recommended online. it's easy enough to install with DKMS and afterwards this device functions properly. Packet injection works, monitor mode works. Airodump/wifite/kismet all function fine with this device. very nice adptor and at a good price. Would recommend.

I purchased this wifi adapter as part of my security training. I was impressed with the range of the adapter, which was able to pick up even the weakest signals from down the road. Initially, I was worried that the adapter would not be plug-and-play or that the drivers would not be available for Kali Linux and my daily driver Linux system. However, I was pleasantly surprised to find that the adapter was easy to use and installed quickly. The adapter is sleek and doesn't stand out, even the LED only blinks when it's being used. The clip-on feature is also a nice bonus. One of the best features of this adapter is that it is able to enter monitor mode. This was perfect for what I needed it for, as I was able to use the adapter to scan for nearby networks and collect data. Overall, I am very happy with this wifi adaptor. It is easy to use, has a long range, and is able to enter monitor mode. I would definitely recommend this adaptor to anyone looking for a high-quality wifi adaptor.

Works with out of box with kismet VM to analyse wifi traffic. One star off as couldn't see all packets between known nodes in network. This could be because it's listening in, so doesn't ask for re-transmits, or share perf info. When placed close to transmitter/receiver of traffic was much better. For sniffing wifi traffic, there may be better adapters out there, but this is still a reasonable product.

Love this, it works really well compared to the other two I initially tried. Setup was quick, and it just does the job without any fuss. Glad I went with this in the end.

I bought this for use with Kali Linux.. the ACH isn't supported by default in Kali's kernel, however you can just install the drivers by running the command 'apt-get install realtek-rtl88xxau-dkms' And from there it's good to go. Overall impressions of the adapter are 8/10. Really nice. Although if you don't need 5Ghz I would really recommend the ACH

It works BUT for Linux users it’s not quite plug and play, I’m using Linux mint as the daily driver and Kali Linux on a vm, I had to do a bit of work, but hey the adapter now works like a dream. If you get stuck chatgpt will walk you through

The device worked, for a few hours. It then repeatedley started connecting and disconnecting via USB with my computer. Searching online, this appears to be a common issue with this device and windows computers (most reviews are for linux). Despite multiple attempts to correct it, the issue is ultimately with this device and not my PC, all other adapters I have used work with no issues, and I am not modifying windows files to ultimately get it working "properly". Connecting in a stable way to your computer is the most basic thing any device should do, especially something as critical as a WIFI adapter. It is also very old, much older than it is made out to be on Amazon, the drivers shipped with it are from 2019! While it did breifly work as intended, it was indeed powerful and did boost my signal.

Compared to the inbuilt network interface on my laptop this is amazing. In built NIC detects maybe 8 access points, Alfa NIC detects upwards of 25, what’s not to like? If you want more range then you can change the aerials for higher gain, why not go for an outdoor aerial if you haven’t got a good enough signal. It’s been stable, reliable and with the right drivers on Linux it does what is expected of it.

Ero un pò preoccupato sulla compatibilità. Dalle recensioni ho letto che qualcuno ha avuto problemi ad installarlo su Linux invece su Kali ci ho messo 5 minuti. Basta andare sul sito indicato e ti da il procedimento giusto per l'installazione corretta. Su Windows 10 è stato ancora più semplice ovviamente. Basta far partire il file eseguibile e funziona benissimo. Per lavoro comunque a me serve usarla su Kali e non mi ha dato nessun problema. Ho provato Wireshark, airodump... giusto per testare il prodotto e devo dire che fa il suo lavoro. Ovviamente non aspettatevi miracoli sul raggio di azione. A me da le stesse reti del router in dotazione ma ovviamente serve a tutt'altro. Se volete più raggio di azione conviene che andate su altre tipologie di dispositivi. Spero funzioni anche su Parrott Os. Vi farò sapere perchè non ho avuto tempo comunque rimane un prodotto di ottima fattura e qualità. Nella scatola c'è il gancio per attaccarlo al monitor, il cavetto di buona qualità e l'adattatore micro usb to usb. A proposito sarebbe meglio attaccarlo a prese usb 3 per sfruttare a pieno il dispositivo. Credo però funzioni anche con le prese più vecchie.

Magnífica antena usb. La uso en mi portatil con windows y en kali linux para hacer "auditorias internas" y tiene un alcance muy eficiente, aunque en este último, debes instalar los drivers correspondientes pero no tendrás problema en ello ya que están muy probados y en este chip funcionan de maravilla. Modo monitor sin pegas.
