This, however is the best by a long way. The sides are rigid and with the cross straps and laces giving extra support, the effect is remarkable. As with another user I find that lacing the support up is better than using the top plastic hooks. I went on a three mile walk today and had no pain at all. I can recommend this 100%. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent ankle strap for the price - definitely recommended! *by L***P on 13 September 2017* Really pleased with this ankle support... has enabled me to be reasonably mobile as necessary while my sprained ankle mends. It works so well that on occasions I have forgotten I had an injury so have had to remind myself to not push the activity too much. I love the way the straps cross over the foot and then fix up the sides, exactly as if I had strapped with tape. It still fits ok inside my ankle boots, biking shoes, and regular flat shoes (I am not back in heels yet!).The relatively low cost indicates that it is made out of cheaper materials, including nylon, so I definitely need to wear a sock underneath it to minimise sweating (and sometimes one on top too if I want to hide it for aesthetic affect) but otherwise it is structurally well-made and does do a very good job of providing support and replicating taping up the ankle. So yes, well worth the money for the benefit I have receieved from it, and I definitely recommend.I have size 7.5 (uk) slim feet and went for the large.
