Very handy to have in your pocket! I love carrying mine around. Good Stanley quality, it works as it should. I barely notice it in my pocket because its pretty thin and small. It retracts like any other tape measure.

I love that this comes on a keychain. It’s perfect to keep on me during the day, and I’ve already clipped it onto my work keys. The size is just right — small enough to forget it’s there, but big enough to actually use without fumbling. The tape has a good sturdiness to it too. It isn’t flimsy, so it lays down cleanly when I’m measuring something quick. It’s also easy to read, even with my not-so-great eyesight, and the measurements have been spot-on every time. Super convenient, accurate, and great to have on the go.

I bought this to keep in my desk as I can never find a tape measure when I need one. It's small and measures just the right size for my uses. Good overall quality despite being made in China.

I like this little tape measure. I still have use one that I bought more than 10 years ago. Even though it may seem expensive compared to some full-size tape measures, especially considering it only measures up to 3 feet, I like it because it functions well and the tape even locks into place. The small size makes it easy to slip into a pocket or bag so you can have it on hand to do any spur of the moment measuring.

Nice little tape measure. I got it mainly to measure fish out on thr jetties. Very handy to have.

Just what I was hoping for

For me, this is exactly what I was searching for to use as a keychain type of measure! I removed the smaller O ring on the lock and placed my regular larger keychain O Ring and this is now my regular keyset. Everywhere I go I have my tape measure with me, how handy is this! Yes, this is small and not as heavy duty as the bigger Stanleys are, however, because it is lightweight and small, it fits into my jeans pocket even with my keys on the O Ring and quite easily. Here are the pros: PROS: + This is 34 inches long (and I find it long enough for me to measure most things while I am out and about). + It locks the measurement--what I do is firmly move the locking part all the way down. To unlock and put the tape all the way back in, I push upward and back the tape goes! + Reading the tape - For a small 1/4 tape, I was pleased with how well I could read the measurements on the tape. + Usefulness - Does what is supposed to do - useful for traveling on the go. This is not meant to be a heavy duty 50 foot or 100 foot 1 inch wide tape, it is meant to be just what it is - a small, lightweight travel tape. Highly recommend this Stanley lightweight measuring tape!
