I have used Philips Coolskin Rotary Shaver before and found it gave me a bad rash so I was sceptic about this Philips S9711/31 Shaver Series 9000. The reason for the change fed-up paying extortionate prices for blades. Using the Philips S9711/31 I found it gave me a shave nearly as good as a wet shave 9.5 out of 10 small irritation for a few days while my skin adjusted to the shaver it takes 3/4 times longer to shave to get the same result as a wet shave. I have used Philips shavers all my life; I'm now 84 and have never needed to replace blades. I bought a small travelling Philips shaver in Andorra about 40 years ago and it is kept in the glove compartment of my car, and is used every week and it has never needed anything replaced except the batteries. **Q: How long does does it take to charge?** A: I have no idea. It was such a load of Chinese-made crap that I sent it back and got a refund - and then bought a BRAUN for the same price, which was built in Germany. And the BRAUN is a good product. **Q: Is the picture of Philips 9000 the one for sell at £150** A: Can't remember which picture I looked at. They sent the French version with foreign text on the box which was a bit disconcerting but it's essentially the same thing as I thought I was getting so I accepted it.
