Independently adjustable for perfect positioning Viewing angle; Wide angle for ultimate safety Mirror "Pop" turn on and off for the safety of the car wash. Metal parts are not rusty and rustproof. Unlike conventional blind spot mirrors, the Summit security mirror fits on top of the door edge housing and thus the images are separated resulting in less confusion and added safety. The system is often used for mirrors on commercial vehicles. It is independently adjustable for pinpoint placement and double convex mirror provides a very wide viewing angle. All metal parts are made of stainless steel and rustproof. The mirror is for right and left-handed door mirrors. The unique design fixation allows this summit safety mirror attached to the top of your door. Only suitable for door mirrors with movable glass inside the mirror head. Installation instructions (English Press the bracket onto the top edge of the main door mirror housing. The metal prongs of the film between the housing and glass. Pull the screw so that the metal prongs handle, the bottom of the mirror housing. Do not worry too hard. The mirror head can be switched on and off as desired for car washing, etc. By firmly with the holder with one hand and with the other wheels of the mirror head. Review: It is easy to adjust - SM1 is top of its class for someone who has a limited ability to twist his neck when joining a major road. I have had at least six over the years. Pros - it is simple to fix to the wing mirror without blocking any part of it. It is easy to adjust. Cons - It is plastic rather than glass and the clarity does not last indefinitely. I suggest buying two at once. You need to remember to take it off before (not during!) the car wash. At nearly £6 it's fairly expensive - why not sell it in packs of four for ?£12? For geriatrics, adjusting from the normal wing mirror to the little one can be a visual challenge. It can scratch the surround of your wing mirror and is vulnerable to pointless theft, so always have a spare inside because you will get to rely on it. Halfords in Workington doesn't seem to stock it any more (in favour of inferior substitutes) so plan ahead if you have one which is getting worn.... I have thought long and hard about how the design could be improved but can't think if any way unless a manufacturer is to include it as stand on a model and have it controlled internally electronically, in which can it could usefully be bigger....

**Q: Is this safe to use on motorways? worried it might fly off with speed**
A: The mirror has never come away from the base in all the many thousands of miles I have done on all types of road. It's difficult enough trying to remove it from the base when going through a car wash! I would suggest that in addition to the clamp it comes with that you drill a small hole through the plastic base into the plastic mirror case and use a short self tapping screw to give some additional security. This mirror is the best I have come across as you can individually adjust it when sitting in the driving seat. However, after some time the mirrored surface becomes dull and I use some metal polish to clean it.

SM1 is top of its class for someone who has a limited ability to twist his neck when joining a major road. I have had at least six over the years. Pros - it is simple to fix to the wing mirror without blocking any part of it. It is easy to adjust. It will rotate 360 degrees horizontally and a far amount vertically so it will leave you no blind spots. No other similar product is comparable. Cons - It is plastic rather than glass and the clarity does not last indefinitely. I suggest buying two at once. You need to remember to take it off before (not during!) the car wash. At nearly £6 it's fairly expensive - why not sell it in packs of four for ?£12? For geriatrics, adjusting from the normal wing mirror to the little one can be a visual challenge. I got my driving licence last year, and after getting used to the secondary clip-on mirrors on the wing mirrors while doing manoeuvres during training, I thought it made a lot of sense having some on the car after getting my licence too, and so I got these ones which look almost identical to the ones my driving instructor had on his car. They work rather well, though now the adhesive aluminium foil that provides the mirrored surface has started corroding and become near-impossible to see anything in. I am sure this could have been avoided with a bit more care, removing them when washing the car, etc, and I'd not blame the quality of the mirrors for that, but it does mean that I need replacement mirrors less than a year later. I am still getting the same ones, though. This time I'll remember to remove them every time the car gets washed.
