11670013 1/2-Inch Pro Craft Impact Driver Set (13-Piece)

I needed this to undo some slot head screws that were very stuck in a wooden window frame. It worked a treat using a dead blow hammer. The slot head bit was completely undamaged even after a fair bit of abuse. There’s something refreshingly old-school about the metal box it comes in rather than plastic. Good selection of bits. My only grumble is that it’s a 1/2 inch drive (with an adapter to hold the bits) but my socket set is 3/8, in the unlikely event I’d ever need to use them together. Unfortunately 3/8 impact drivers don’t seem to be that common.

Everyone gets one of those jobs sometimes. When its all going well, but just one or maybe two screws just won't budge. Well, that's what happened to me. I'd been stripping an engine from an old Honda and a couple of engine cover screws were stuck good and tight. The frustrating thing was, it was just two. So it made no sense to lay out a lot of money on a tool I would probably stick at the back of my tool cabinet to never use again. So the search was on for a low cost tool to do this one job. That's why I ordered the Hilka. Even with postage, it was less than any other I'd seen anywhere. And when it came, I put it straight to work. One tap, the first screw came out. next tap, the other screw. Job done, easy, quick. Just the job. Looking at the tool, its heavy, well finished and the half-inch socket drive to hex-bit converter that comes with it is almost worth the money alone. And you get a box with a selection of bits. the bits are standard, so lose or break one and replacements are available everywhere. So, yes, I'm well satisfied. And as a bonus, this cheap little driver is well up to any job I'm likely to call on it for in the future. A bargain. Go for it!

Just what I need but amazon need tk choose their drivers more carefully! Took a photo to say it was here leant up against my gate but then the driver threw it Iver the gate after and landed next to my pond! Good job it wasn't fragile!!

Purchased 6 months ago, used for the first time today to remove a couple of brake discs. Attempting to loosen retaining screws just caused my screwdriver to slip and damage to the screw heads. L setting on the impact driver is absolutely the correct setting to loosen, the heavy metal body is driven clockwise which drives the bit holder anti-clockwise. 3-4 blows with a standard hammer (didn't need to fetch my club hammer) loosened both retaining screws, brake discs removed with no bother at all. The Philips screwdriver bits used were entirely undamaged. Absolutely fantastic tool based on my (admittedly limited) experience. Metal case is a really nice touch. Range of screwdriver bits seems generous. Would recommend wholeheartedly.

Great bit of kit

3 star given because first two uses it broke 2 of the bits it came with. After using my reinforced bits it easily got the gob done.... the bits it comes with I wouldn't rate at all but the driver itself is a must have in anybody tool box. Got me out of a pickle while trying to replace a seized bolt on my motocycle breaks.

Handy bit of kit

I know a lot of tools on Amazon aren’t particularly good quality (perhaps an understatement), but they’re usually good enough for occasional use. Well, this piece of utter junk doesn’t even reach that low bar. If I could give it no stars I would. I bought this thing for a particular job (stripping a bike engine) as I knew that an impact driver would be necessary to remove some notoriously tight cross-head screws. Well, you can see from the photo what happened. I think I hit it 4, maybe 5 times, and not especially hard. Honestly, I’ve eaten cheese that was harder than this garbage! Obviously it’s getting returned. Never will I buy anything again with this brand name. An utter joke of a tool. I actually laughed when I saw what had happened.

Ottimo cacciavite a percussione, avevo esigenza di svitare viti del carter della mia moto che erano dannatamente bloccate e non ne volevano sapere di svitarsi nemmeno con un ottimo cacciavite usag che alla fine le ha spanate quasi del tutto. Preso dalla rabbia ho acquistato questo attrezzo: buona la dotazione di bits, ottima la qualità dei materiali e molto bella l'idea del contenitore in metallo...sensazione di durabilità di altri tempi. Scelgo il bit adatto, lo inserisco, mazzuola e un solo colpo e sento la vita svitarsi...la maledetta non ha potuto opporre alcuna resistenza e nonostante fosse quasi del tutto spanata il colpo di mazzuola ha proprio scavato la forma del bit a croce nella vista al punto che ho dovuto estrale con la pinza in una morsa. Tutto questo indica sicuramente che la qualità dei materiali è ottima e i bits fanno il loro dovere alla pari degli altri prodotti blasonati. Mi sento di non condividere le critiche negative lasciate da alcuni utenti perchè in base alla mia esperienza sono riuscito a raggiungere il mio obiettivo e con una spesa molto abbordabile, inoltre data la qualità dei materiali, credo che il rapporto prezzo qualità sia più sbilanciato verso la qualità. Dunque lo consiglio a chi non è "affezionato" ai marchi blasonati e bada alla sostanza. Non recensisco per interessi, nella vita faccio tutt'altro, ma credo molto nel sistema delle recensioni per cui se questa mia recensione ti può aver aiutato in qualche modo mi fa piacere. I haven't used the impact screwdriver much(yet), but I'm very familiar with this kind of driver. If it breaks I will update this review. This one seems solid, and I've had very similar ones serve me for years until they get lost. The box is a bit loose and the finish of the metal is a bit crude, but I guess it will last. You get 3 slotted, 3 Philips ,3 Pozidriv and 4 Torx bits that seem sturdy. It's good value
