Its easy-to-use spray bottle delivers a bitter taste that discourages pets from biting wounds or furniture, promoting healthier behavior and a well-maintained coat. Ideal for cats, dogs, and ferrets, this trusted formula combines effectiveness with safety, making it a must-have for proactive pet owners. ## Description Product Description Licking at a wound or sore can lead to nasty infections, especially if your dog is out and about. Carefully applying the Bitter Apple Spray to a wound dressing will put a stop to this: the sour taste will put your pet off fussing over their cut. You can also use the Bitter Apple Spray to discourage your pet from chewing the furniture. Simply spray onto soft furnishings or wherever your dog likes to nibble, and they'll soon learn to stop gnawing at things they shouldn't. I would recommend trying it. **Q: Is this safe for puppies as it contains 20% Isopropanol?** A: I used it with my puppy and it works a treat. They onviously don't like the taste and only lick it and never go back to it. Wall paper, skirting boards, kitchen cupboards and rattan furniture have all been saved! **Q: Our new pup just wants to chew all our toddler's toys - is it safe to use on toddler toys?** A: I think it would probably be safe, however, toddlers might object to their favourite toys smelling unpleasant! The bottle says to keep out of the reach of children but probably because larger quantities could prove harmful. I'm afraid I cannot be more certain than this, but I hope it is of some help. David Noakes, Diamond Edge Ltd. **Q: Does this stop cats from scratching furniture?** A: It is originally intended to prevent dogs chewing themselves and getting sore, but we have heard that it is often used for cats too. Whether the smell is a sufficient deterrent depends on the cat as it is intended that the taste is the unpleasant ingredient. I would also check before spraying onto furniture that it will not stain or mark it.
