Cello Time Joggers + CD: A first book of very easy pieces for cello

I was advised to get this book by my Childs school music teacher. It is excellent fro them to learn at home and helps them progress on there own. The scores are basic but that's exactly what you need when your just starting to learn the Cello. The CD that accompanies it is excellent for sounding out exactly how its supposed to sound when you have mastered it, then its great fun to play along. I went to my local music store to buy this book and it was the same price however there was no cd. Not sure if there are two versions published but I recommend getting the one with the CD

This is an easy to follow book for the early violin learner

I got this for my daughter (7) after a recommendation from her music teacher. Very useful. She plays the tunes every night. It also ships with a CD, which has all the tunes represented in the book and how they are meant to sound. This is a great touch and we listen to the 'correct' version before practice. Has improved her skills no end. The CD is easy to rip into iTunes for you iPod too (better for rapid reviews of sections). The product only looses one star because of a rather flimsy cover, I would have preferred a more robust cover, perhaps a hardback edition. Recommended.

Cello tutor advised this for first time. Well worth the money. Even though it is for my 10 yr old son, I'm getting into the book which is easy to understand. Only tiny nit pic... The CD could be easier to navigate but it is a nit pic :)

A great selection of easy tunes. They CD has recorded tracks that you can play along to. It is a great confidence builder.

Our 8 year old daughter is learning the cello and has found this book brilliant! Easy to follow with fairly simple pieces of music to play. Also came with a CD which our daughter plays along to. Good value for money.

Great book for a beginner. My 7 year old uses it and it starts of so well and builds up as her confidence and experience improves.

I bought this for my son who had a brief but enjoyable bash at learning the cello. This book was invaluable and came recommended by his music teacher. Definitely recommend it. Most suitable for children of junior school age.

Ce manuel est vraiment top ! Le cd a réveillé le jeu de ma fille (qq mois de pratique). Elle l’écoute régulièrement par plaisir, parfois en mimant les notes, et a même commencé une partition qu’elle ne voit pas avec sa prof pour la jouer avec sa soeur au piano (il n’y a que les partitions de violoncelle, mais les accords de piano sont assez simples).

Habe als Erwachsener begonnen mit Cello und das Buch ist super! Übe gemeinsam mit einer Lehrerin, die es mir empfohlen hat :)

Self-taught adult on cello with a piano background. The exercices made it easy to gradually remembered the finger positions/notes on each string. The accompaniment music CD made it fun to learn, felt like you play with an orchestra.

As this is a follow up to Cello Joggers we have not used it yet. I would highly recommend Cello Joggers for beginning cellist who are reading notes and learning rhythm. I allowed my 8 year old son to choose any song he wanted. He was able to decipher it and play it correctly in less than 20 min. It gave him a sense of accomplishment that he "taught" himself a new song. This book was recommended by our Cello teacher for us to use during summer break. Knowing this I purchased Cello Runners which is a little harder for the near future.
