Will this sharpen the Staedtler Jumbo triangular pencil?

Yes it will, I bought this alongside some of the pencils for my son a couple of weeks ago and it sharpens both jumbo and standard size pencils (including the triangular ones).

Will this sharpen the Staedtler ergosoft pencils and the staedtler HB pencils?

Yes and it does so beautifully! At last I have found a pencil sharpener that works smoothly.

It won't really sharpen a standard pencil. I may have received a duff one but I found that my cheapy super market own brand was much better.
