Can you use this on a wall?

I have only used it on a ceiling and it worked very well leaving a smooth and totally crack free surface. I guess it would work on a wall but I have no experience of this.

It will just cover it, not mend the crack.

Yes treat it like a normal emulsion paint. Covers like any white paint.

Would this be suitable for a bathroom ceiling?

Should be, but will depend on how much condensation you get? I would tend to use it to fill the cracks and then overpaint with a "bathroom" paint.
