Can this be used for arm knitting?

I use a #11 and # 15 for a baby Afghan pattern and it worked great. I don’t arm knit so I can’t answer that question. But needles I use are fairly large.

About how many skeins would you need to make a baby afghan?

Depending on the stitch you use and the size hook, I'd say get around maybe 800 grams or close to 1500-2000 yards. It's better to have too much yarn left over than not enough yarn and struggle to find the matching color.

How many yards or skeins will it take to crochet a baby blanket 40 x 60

depends on what kind of yarn you use. I just made a receiving blanket and used two skeins of number 3 light.

Soft wonderful yarn
