Copic Sketch 72pc Set A

The Copic sketch marker is undoubtably one of the world's best markers. These durable twin ended markers are perfect for creating vivid images in a wide variety of styles, eg. Manga, techincal drawing, designs and interfaces. These markers come in a huge variety of colours, and the 72A set contains many beautiful and multitonal colour combinations suitable for an amature or proffesional. Although these may seem like the ideal marker please do not be fooled. Although the Copic marker in general is a fantasic performer, when used incorrectly it can have devastating effect such as bleeding, leaking, etc... It is always important to remember that the marker works better when using it alongside other .TOO or specialist products. The Copic marker is extremely expensive, and will eventually run out, just as any other pen does. But, the masters at .TOO have made these pens economical, and efficient by making the nibs, inks and colours of the pens replaceable. By using the nifty 'Various Inks' manufactured by Copic you can create your own colours and effects easily, making it an outstanding overall product. The 72A set itself has many vibrant and engaging colours suitable for shading, skin, clothing etc. Highly recommended to anyone with alot of cash to spend.

I saved up for a while to purchase this, a few colorless blender copic markers and a nice watercolor sketch/paint book for my girlfriend last Christmas. At the time, she only had 4 or 5 knockoff Artist Loft markers but dreamed of owning real Copic markers some day. I hid this set until the end of our gift exchange, then asked her to close her eyes and to open her hand. Then I put one Copic colorless blender marker in her hand and told her to look. She was genuinely happy and surprised to have received one colorless Copic marker.. I had this box set ready beside me just out of sight so I quickly reached back and placed it in her lap while she was happily inspecting her gift and her reaction was priceless. This set is excellent. I HIGHLY recommend you look up and understand how to store and maintain these markers. The tips have a tendency to explode (lol) onto the page if you don't take off both ends before using them for the first time. This can also occur if they have been in storage for a while. My girlfriend flips her carrying case (get a makeup case, they're cheap) from one side to the other every couple days when not in use. This does something with the pressure and I believe it's recommended by Copic to do (google it). This item was shipped from Japan to Eastern Canada without any damage and all markers were full to the brim. I was worried about getting dried markers that sat in a warehouse but I'm pretty certain the people at Copic hand check these before sending them out. Anyway, they would likely come good for any issues you might have but I had none. I recommend hitting up reddit for what watercolor sketchbooks/paintbooks tend to work best with copics. Also, you may want to invest in the 6 pack skin tone copic set. She made it work with a blender and the colors available in this set but it would be a small amount more for everything you need.

I bought these last year. Many of the markers were dried when I received them. Then over the past year many more dried. What a disappointment. I paid a lot of money for them. Very dissatisfied.

I purchased these markers for myself as a Christmas gift with money pitched in by various family members. I'm EXTREMELY happy with them! The quality of the ink is exceptional and the variety of colours is absolutely stunning. Some important information for anyone who is thinking about buying these: - For the most part, I find this selection has a good variety of all colour sets for blending. Expect to be able to create blending sets for all primary and secondary (and several tertiary) colours from this set alone. - This set includes the brush nib and the medium broad nib. - This set offers only very basic options for various skin colours. There are certainly enough warm browns to offer options for a diverse array of skin colours, but I've found there aren't quite enough to blend skin as much as I'd want, and there's a lack of options for creating the particular set of tones that character artists might find necessary. However, this set would serve as a perfect base set that could easily be filled out with a small number of markers purchased individually. - This set does not include a colourless blender. I recommend purchasing one of those separately as well. - If you don't know this already, BUY MARKER PAPER. It's a big deal.

Some markers were out of ink basically the first time I used them, requiring me to buy more ink. One marker has proved unfixable.
