The WiFi option is a big step forward compared to other products. Review: Clever kit, yet to prove itself - Bought as a bit of fun related to IT Security - I like it, although It needs more testing as its CURRENTLY not picking up every key stroke, as you can see from the attached photo of the web interface 4 stars at the moment as I'm impressed by the size, easy of use, and the fact it spins up an access point, DHCP server and web server all in this teeny tiny device, however, if it cant function fully, then it may lose a couple. Nice and easy to set up - 1) plug in and it initially kicks up an OPEN access point called something like AIR_9999A (as shown) 2) you attach to it and get assigned an IP 3) then you use a web browser to navigate to the web interface on http://192.168.4.1 (the default gateway address assigned to your wifi connection) and boom...all your key strokes are displayed. in the screen shot, I casually typed "this wifi usb key works nicely" then "not capturing all keys" - as you can see, not all keys were captured. The version you shipped to me only records the press of the enter key?** A: There is a drop-down menu in the settings menu of the Airdrive webpage (192.168.4.1->Settings). Set the special key log level to full, and all keys including the numeric keypad will be recorded. **Q: Can this device be used with a wireless keyboard.** A: Yes, wireless keyboards too, with the exception of bluetooth keyboards. **Q: Does this device work with keyboards which accept some sort of 2 way communication with the computer?** A: The keylogger will not interfere with the USB signal itself (it's a tap-only device, it does not modify the signal). However, logging keystrokes will work only if the USB data is compliant with standard USB HID devices, such as USB keyboards, USB barcode readers, and USB mice. That said, I don't know of any types of USB keyboards which are not HID-compliant. **Q: How do you view files? a youtube vid says hold down k.b.s but this doesnt work????** A: The device is a Wifi Access Point to which you can connect using a laptop, tablet, smartphone or desktop PC. After connecting to the keylogger you can use any web browser to open the logger menu and to see the datalog. Shouldn't really be a problem but something that may put some people off. I was considering going for a none wireless key logger but this device is incredibly low profile and easy to access, so I would recommend it. The network type and security (including password) is customisable and even hide-able (although that's only useful if you doing something you probably shouldn't or don't want your computer to constantly try and connect to it).
