I haven't used it yet it sounds alright on the right up

I bought it for my birds to put in their drinking/bath water. Just once a week will do, as a supplement of iodine that they need. I know that you can get some stones that contain it but not every bird nibbles enough of it to be good.

I found this seemed to burn my skin, I am still using it to burn off brown shin patches & some raised bubble like marks. However I should have bought the 2% solution which I have used in the past without the burning sensations

As long you are aware that health authorities have established a Tolerable Upper Intake Level (UL) for iodine, for an adult in the UK, and this is 1,100 micrograms (mcg) per day from all sources. And from this product, each drop (6.3mg-miligrams) contains 5.7 times more iodine than the tolerable upper intake level and 42 times more than the Recommended Daily Allowance (RDA) what is about 150 mcg per day.

Good stuff - just don't drink it by litre, as iodine can be absorbed easily through the skin or when rinsing the mouth in amounts necessary for thyroid support and for counteracting fluoride. It stains things, so be careful and dilute as appropriate. It is not for people who are on thyroid medication!

Several things. First, Amazon delivered the wrong item which is a reflection of Amazon not the product - still annoying. Second - received the Lugol's and the product in the bottle appears to be good. The problem I had/have is that it is unusable as the dropper has come out of the bottle and is stuck in the cap. When I first got the item and opened the seal, bits of the cap disintegrated which left me a little worried and then within a week the dropper came out when I unscrewed the top. I now have to source another bottle and dropper and then go through the messy process of transferring the iodine to a bottle that works. I suspect it may have been a very old bottle from Amazon that has been sitting on the shelf for an age. But if you pay for a product you should expect the bottle not to disintegrate in a week - especially if the contents could last a year or longer depending on use. Really annoyed at piss poor manufacturing which is now going to cost me more to rectify.
