I'm new to machine embroidery and soon discovered that brand name threads are horrendously expensive. I took a chance on this Brothread collection hoping that it wouldn't damage my lovely new machine. They are FABULOUS! Silky, glossy thread that sews out perfectly, no breaking or shredding, and produces lovely results. A very good selection of colours and a numbered colour matching chart for Brother brand threads. They are excellent value for money and I'm sure I'll be buying them again. I just wish Brothread offered individual reels to replace those used. They came with a pack of nets which, when cut into three pieces for 300 mtr reels, will stop cut ends unravelling.

I’m SO impressed with these threads. I treated myself to a Brother embroidery machine and needed some threads. After reading all the reviews available on all the embroidery threads available (on Amazon) I purchased the 40 set to see what they were like. They are so good, I bought another 40 pack and then the 63 pack. The quality is great, the colours are fabulous and the finished article excellent. No nesting, fraying or breaking at all. They have a lovely sheen too. If you’re looking for good quality, inexpensive embroidery threads then you won’t go wrong with these!!! All 3 sets were well packaged and delivered within days

I bought this thread set to use alongside my first embroidery machine. I've used the threads on a test design from the machine's library and a few small projects. The machine is a Brother Innovis V3 with a very fast stitch and so far there has not been a single broken thread. There's a wide variety of colours in the box. Numbering is the same as the official Brother colours so it's easy to match the correct thread to the embroidery design. There's also a chart included of all the colours to quickly see what's available. Threads have a nice sheen when areas are stitched. Box also included plastic mesh nets to cover the bobbins and promote smooth unspooling. My machine already came with some but these are a better fit. Will definately be buying more of this brand when I get through these ones. They're very good, especially for the price.

I’m new to the machine embroidery and wanted a good selection of colours to start me off. This collection ticked all the boxes, I haven’t used any other brands to compare it but it seems to be good quality. The only criticism I have is Brothread don’t sell the smaller spools separately, so if you run out of one colour you either have to buy a huge spool if that colour exists or buy another complete set. Also I’ve noticed that in the larger spool sets 1000m and over, you don’t get the same colours as in the 500m. I would of expected the same colours but on larger spool

I hesitated about ordering these threads as I normally use Madeira and I'm quite fussy about quality, but I need not have worried as they are really excellent. I have completed several projects with them and had no problems at all. (No threads breaking or snapping). Just as importantly, they stitch out wonderfully well and look great - beautifully glossy and shiny. I stitched out a project that I had previously stitched with much more expensive threads and found that the end result was just as good. (No, I wouldn't have believed it either!) I am very happy (and relieved!) with my purchase.

Stitches very well. Lovely choice of colours. Had no breakages so far and colours are vibrant. Impressed so far I have my eye on the variegated colours next. The only thing I don't like is the colour number is on a sticker on the top of the spool. As soon as you use it the sticker gets ripped so I've had to use a sharpie marker to write the number on the bottom of the spool. The glue off the number sticker also gunks up the spool holder which isn't ideal.

Since I’m new to embroidery, buying individual thread spools felt too expensive, so I decided to go with the New Brothread 63 Spools Polyester Machine Embroidery Thread Kit as a beginner-friendly option. I use it with my Brother SE750 and had no issues at all. The color variety is great, and it includes most of the shades you would need for embroidery projects. One minor downside was that the thread snapped once at the beginning because it got caught on the color label sticker at the top of the spool. After I pressed the sticker down firmly before using it, I didn’t have any more problems with snagging or breaking. Also, while most of the spools were fine, a few of them took me a while to find the starting end of the thread. Other than that, this is an excellent product for beginners, and I’m very happy with the results of my very first embroidery project.

J'ai acheté ce coffret de 63 bobines de fil polyester New brothread pour alimenter ma machine à broder Brother, qui commençait à tourner un peu trop souvent avec les mêmes dix couleurs basiques. Je cherchais une palette large, sans me ruiner dans les fils de marque premier prix qui cassent au bout de trois points, ni dans les fils premium hors de prix. Ce set semblait être un bon compromis entre variété, quantité et budget, et après plusieurs semaines d'utilisation sur des projets variés, le bilan est globalement très positif. Le premier contact est réjouissant. La boîte est bien organisée, les 63 bobines sont parfaitement rangées et visibles, avec un nuancier intégré qui permet de choisir rapidement la teinte sans ouvrir vingt compartiments. Chaque bobine contient 500 mètres de fil, ce qui est généreux pour de la broderie domestique. Les couleurs sont vives et couvrent un large spectre : des teintes franches, des pastels, des dégradés de verts et de bleus, et quelques couleurs plus originales qui sortent de l'éternel rouge-bleu-jaune. Pour du fil polyester, la brillance est correcte, sans être aussi satinée qu'un fil en rayonne, mais c'est un choix assumé de la matière qui offre une meilleure résistance mécanique. À l'usage sur ma machine, le comportement est rassurant. Le fil se déroule sans accroc, la tension est stable, et je n'ai subi aucune casse intempestive sur les premiers motifs testés. Les points sont propres, la couverture est bonne, et le rendu final sur du coton comme sur du tissu plus technique est net. La résistance au lavage est un vrai plus : contrairement à certains fils qui déteignent ou perdent leur éclat au premier passage en machine, ceux-ci tiennent bien la couleur. Mon test involontaire sur un torchon brodé passé à 40 degrés n'a montré ni dégorgement ni affadissement visible. Quelques nuances honnêtes qui m'empêchent de crier au miracle. La qualité est constante sur l'ensemble du lot, mais elle se situe dans un bon milieu de gamme : ce n'est pas du Madeira ni du Gütermann, et les brodeuses très exigeantes qui cherchent une brillance absolue ou une finesse de fil extrême pour des motifs ultra-détaillés pourraient rester sur leur faim. Sur des polices de lettres très petites, le fil peut légèrement pelucher si la vitesse de la machine est trop élevée, un réglage plus doux règle le problème. Enfin, le conditionnement des bobines est un peu serré sur certaines : le fil de départ est parfois coincé et il faut chercher l'extrémité avec une aiguille, ce qui est agaçant quand on est pressé. Pour le prix, ce set de 63 couleurs est un excellent investissement pour une brodeuse amateur ou semi-pro qui veut étoffer sa palette sans vendre un rein. La quantité par bobine permet d'enchaîner les projets sans angoisse de la panne sèche en plein motif. Je le recommande chaudement aux propriétaires de machines Brother, Babylock, Janome ou Singer qui veulent un set polyvalent et fiable pour de la broderie machine quotidienne. Si vous cherchez du fil de compétition pour des ouvrages de concours, passez votre chemin. Mais pour personnaliser des cadeaux, broder des prénoms sur les doudous des enfants, ou simplement laisser parler sa créativité sans compter, ce coffret New brothread est un compagnon fidèle et abordable.

So che c'è scritto che sono filati per ricamo. Ma io cercavo un set completo di fili per cucito e riparazioni in quanto mi limito a fare questo genere di lavoretti. Conosco bene il gutermann all sew che però ha un prezzo molto alto, perciò in passato ne ho preso solo qualche rocchetto da 100m solo quando mi serviva. Però volevo la comodità di avere tutti i colori sempre pronti in casa. Questo set è FANTASTICO! Il diametro, il materiale poliestere, l'assenza di pelucchi e la robustezza (sentendo la forza necessaria per romperlo a mano) sono a mio parere del tutto simili al gutermann. Con 500m per colore ne avrò abbastanza per la vita, senza dovermi più preoccupare di accontentarmi di un colore che assomiglia. Li utilizzo su una Singer Quantum Stylist 9960 finora con ottimi risultati su tessuti leggeri e pesanti. Le perfezioniste del ricamo dissentiranno scandalizzate sicuramente, ma io ho risolto il mio problema e son contento. L'unica vera mancanza è un sistema per fermare il capo del filo quando il rocchetto non è in uso. Ho rimediato facendo una incisione con il cutter alla base di ogni rocchetto. Potevano farla di fabbrica che facevano bella figura a costo zero. Vero è che ti regalano alcune retine fermafilo, ma a mio parere non sono molto pratiche. Ciao ciao
