Great when you're in a bind
I lost the original thread pin the machine came with, and I was using a pencil in its stead (not very successfully). By the millionth time the pencil came loose and I had to restitch everything, I went on line to find a replacement. This product was about 3 dollars, but there was no shipping or handling costs! I ordered it up and it came in 2 days. I felt so much better once I had a spool holder again. Also, it fits very nicely into the secret compartment on the machine, which didn't hold the original spool holder hence why I lost it in the first place.
