Would i need to wash them first or treat them before placing into tank?

yes you will have to wash them as they state they use pesticides on there plants not very good really. also if your placing them in a tank with shrimps crustacians or snails id avoid all pesticde coated plants not easy to remove it and can kill them.

Hi there. Java fern is a tropical plant and therefore would not survive our winters. There are lots of pond plants far more suitable. I prefer pond lillies. Good luck with your pond. Ivor.
