A welcome - and classy - reprieve from standard vertical blinds!
These blinds went into my mobile home, an old '73 model which I am rehabbing, and my sliding glass doors needed an upgrade from some ugly curtains that were there previously. I considered vertical blinds but then happened upon these, which I think turned out great. I built a custom valance for it with building materials that cost all of $20 and added some metal protection plates in the upper left corners of the blind panels that I bought here on Amazon for $7 (Art3d 4-Pieces Peel and Stick Stainless Steel Backsplash Tiles). I'd seen from other GoDear Sliding Panel reviews how the delicate panels could get damaged by the panel pull rod and figured I'd protect them all. The backsplash tiles were pretty easy to cut with a utility knife (scoring several times on both sides and then snapping) and they are backed with a sheet of heavy-duty adhesive (I think they'll stick forever on the woven fabric panels which are mostly made of paper and polyester). But if you want to do the same as I did, beware, because the pull rod needs to be adjusted so it sticks out more away from the panel. You might do different protection plates made of plastic or thinner metal panels that would work without adjustments. The sliding track that came with my original shipment was damaged and I had to write the company to replace it; they replaced it immediately (for free) and that was a huge relief. The panels are indeed woven paper/polyester and I'm not sure they'll last as long vinyl vertical blinds, but they've been up for three months now and still look like new. They certainly won't take a beating like vinyl blinds can, but vertical blinds have their own maintenance issues. To be honest, I think I would go with these sliding panels even if they broke down, since I love the way they look. You can buy replacement sliding panels, but a pair cost $60 and to replace all four you might as well buy the whole kit and get the sliding track as well (which is beautifully built and has other DIY applications for the creative handyman type). I would have given this four stars, given the broken sliding track and how I question the durability of the panels (and how I felt I had to take a step further to protect them), but GoDear was very responsive with the track replacement and only time will tell how really durable the panels are. Given that I love the overall appearance and have pretty much written off ever doing conventional vertical blinds again, I must give GoDear the full five stars. I think GoDear should make the plastic parts on the sliding track out of metal (the plastic is what broke) and that would solve the track issues. This is really an affordable and brilliantly designed alternative to boring old vertical blinds.

Overall good product please see video review
Upgrade to 5 star - company was fast to respond and sent out replacement panels. This is a pretty decent product. The ease of installation is not so simple and will require two people but it can be done in about an hour. Once the track is hung it is not hard after. Make sure you use a straight edge to cut the panels down not scissors as you want it to be straight as possible. they include a weight piece tha attaches to the bottom of each panel to keep them hanging straight. There is some tweaking that needs to be done once the blinds are hung on the track (with velcro - which I like). Some hang crooked and the striped blinds can give the illusion of not being straight and the material is not perfectly cut so you have to tweak them so they don't look crooked. Kind of frustrating but once you get them right they look good. If you go for the style with the stripes, the striped panels have some fraying. I have reached out to the company to see if they can help me with this. The blind appears to slide nicely on the track. If I can get some assistance I can change to 5 star. Company has seemed pretty responsive so I will wait and see what happens. It did ship out quickly and the box was not damaged. If you do not have kids or pets the fray might not matter. But if you heavily use your blinds it might be an issue. But the look is modern and stellar.

Upgraded look, privacy for patio doorway
Comes with everthing needed (as opposed to Ikea's, where all parts are "a la carte" and a little more expensive). Fairly easy to set up and love the fact that the width and length are adjustable! My patio doors now look chic, I have privacy with filtered light. I am planning to add a set to create a privacy door to my upstairs sink area, which can be viewed from my bedroom (ugh!).

Great door blinds
I really like this door blind. I like the ease of installation, color, dual closing rods. I bought these to replace a cheaper version well over 10 years old, as one panel completely snapped off, leaving only 3 panels. They are great for keeping the hot afternoon sun out of the room, and for blocking light period. I wished I had known how much it did block the light, I probably would have gotten a lighter color. They fit the door exactly the way I hoped, covering the glass and the door frame around it. The old ones had to be positioned just right to cover the glass only, letting sunlight in around the edges. The only problem I have with the blinds is that one of the panels has a considerably 16" lighter area at the bottom. We cut of as much as we could when we trimmed to the correct length. I'll just move it closer to the wall and no one will see it.
