I have always used our digital bathroom scales which seem to be pretty accurate but they are no use on the flight back. I initially bought another make of luggage scales which seemed to be a bargain but when I tried to use them they were useless. I tried weighing my suitcase which was about 20kg but the reading on the scales would not settle to a reading that would lock on no matter how long I held the case. I sent them back and got the Salter Luggage Scale from Amazon and they are ideal, the reading settles down quickly and they are comfortable to hold. They may look heavy but they are made from a lightweight plastic so you can take them with you for the flight back. I found them accurate compared to my bathroom scales but beware, it seems that a lot of airport checking scales are not accurate so leave your luggage a kilo or two lighter unless you want an argument at the check in desk. ## Frequently Bought Together - Salter 9500 BKDCTMEU16 Digital Luggage Scale - Suitcase Weighing Scales, Carry On Baggage Weight, Easy Grip Handle, 40kg / 88 lbs Capacity, Secure Clip Fastening, Lightweight, Includes Battery - SKYLMW Compatible with iPhone 11 Pro Max Case with Invisible Magnetic O-Ring Stand Military-Grade Translucent Case for iPhone 11 ProMax 6.5" [Compatible with MagSafe][Great Grip Feeling], Black - GOODaaa Power Bank Wireless Charger 36000mAh Built in 4 Cables Six Outputs 15W Fast Charging Power Bank for All Mobile Devices Three Inputs Solar Portable Charger with Dual Flashlights, Carabiner --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.it/products/48122026-digital-luggage-scale-40-kg](https://www.desertcart.it/products/48122026-digital-luggage-scale-40-kg) --- *Product available on Desertcart Italy* *Store origin: IT* *Last updated: 2026-10-02*
