The process was very easy to do. I used a sponge brush to put it on the photo copy then placed the image on the canvas. The next day I used quite hot water and a sponge to rub off the paper. Since I used hot water it came off quite easily. There are patches where its not quite right but I would say with practice that wouldn't happen but since I was painting over it that didn't matter to me. The regular matte modge podge will work but you will not be happy with the results. The transfer seems to have the extra bite that holds the ink better. I use the regular for top coats or if you just want to glue the picture down and then seal it. If you want to transfer go with the photo medium! **Q: Do I need to use any type of sealer to protect my product when it is complete? For example, shoes getting caught in rain.** A: The photo transfer medium does not require a sealer. **Q: Mine is so thick its difficult to spread. Is there a solution** A: This product is very thick. It is water based so you could use a very small amount of water too thin. **Q: I want to print a photo onto a tea towel. Will I get the best results with a laser printer? Will the photo last through the wash?** A: the photo will last through washing or at least mine has. Good quality did loads of crafts with this ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Not the best I have used but it does work as expected *by N***I on 6 February 2017* I bought this mod podge transfer medium to test on wood and it works okay. I found the gel medium by Reeves worked better but this still works. For my purpose it works out a bit expensive as the bottle is so small and I need to use it with a group of people in a workshop. Using this podge will just takes a little longer to achieve the same results. There are many different types of mod podge that will do different things but this one is for transferring an image to wood. You first need to make a photocopy using a laser printer and if you are using an image with writing on then you need to reverse the image. You put the photocopied photograph or picture facing down onto the wood (that has a layer of mod podge on it). Then you leave the picture on the wood for 24 hours. Make sure you use your finger on the side of an old bank card to flatten out any bubbles or excess podge. The podge dries clear and then you take a wet sponge and gently wet the back of the image. Start to gently peel away the paper and you will see that the image is secured onto the wood. It is a good idea to seal the picture once you have removed all the paper and then varnish it with a few layers of podge (either matte or gel) depending on what end result you are looking to achieve. You can send the wood before you start and this helps to make sure your image will be completely even all over. You can transfer an image onto wood using an inkjet printer too but the ink doesn't dry and personally I have not had great success trying this.
