Works really well better than bulky dashboard stands

I have a Tom Tom but I bought this in order to use a go pro camera in my car. The go pro mount has the same type of suction feature as a Tom Tom mount so is a perfect size. I have a Honda Civic which has a nice flat central surface which is the ideal location for my go pro and Tom Tom which I also have. East to apply, you pick your spot, peel off the back and push firmly into place. I have used both the go pro and Tom Tom and the disc has held both items in place. They are perfect for my car, as I said it has a flat surface. For our other car a Nissan Qashqai, I don't think they would work as well, if at all, as the trim is not smooth, it has a textured finish. I have a weighted portable mount for this car. Having read a few reviews I would not have purchased this item for the Nissan. Hopefully there is a Nissan Qashqai owner who has used one and can give people an idea about its suitability. No more marks on the windscreen, so no clues for would be thieves if you leave your Tom Tom in the car. The disc just looks like part of my dashboard trim.

These are great. Fitted one inside the opening on my dashboard (had to cut the little rubber mat in the opening to fit round it). SatNav is now in easy reach. No more leaning forward for the screen mount. The screen mount seems to stick securely (not tried it on a long journey yet though).

You will need them if you buy refurbished, mine came without these pads, they are good but it's annoying when you are adding more expense after you have purchased refurbished and then you think I may well have purchased new.

This sits on a curved surface on a Mazda6 dash, original came loose after a couple of years, with the adhesive failing between the sticky pad and the plastic plate as well as between pad and dash. So I replaced with one of these. So far so good, 2000 miles later it is still stuck and supporting the SatNav. Gave the dash a better clean this time and left it to set for a bit longer before putting it into use. Just FYI, the original adhesive took a lot of getting off, but it did come all the way off and did not leave any marks / discoloration of the dash / sticky residue. Took me a good half hour to get it all off though, but I's expect the same of this one.

TomTom Adhesive Dash Disks Bought these discs for my dashboard so that my Sat Nav and phone mount could be better placed. The discs are of good quality very smooth and solid plastic so any suction device will stick to it firmly. Unfortunately as the plastic is as firm as it is, it does mean that if there is a slight curve in the surface you are going to stick the discs to, the disc will not stick down over the whole adhesive surface. The plastic is correctly manufactured as, if it were more pliable then suction devices would have difficulty gaining enough hold on the disc. In my mind the adhesive pad on the underneath needs to be significantly thicker as this would then allow the adhesive pad to stick over its entire surface area while allowing the plastic disc to remain flat without distortion. I have fitted the discs in to my wifes car which has a flat dashboard and the discs work perfectly. Conclusion: If you are going to fit these discs on a flat surface, the discs will work really well and would be a good buy. If however you are looking to attach devices on a curved surface such as a curved dashboard then I would look to other types of dash mounts.

having previously had a car with built in Sat Nav, newer car meant buying a portable sat nav. However - I hate trailing wires in cars with a passion, so decided to get the portable system hardwired, this neatly stowed the cable! - I trawled various forums on the net before opting for these ( there are two in the box) they are great - do exactly as they are supposed to and it also means I can put my sat nav in and out of use as I wish, with only the disc on the dashboard remaining, which is unobtrusive and also avoids my other pet hate - all the rings on the windscreen - as other people have commented - in some states/continents it is illegal to have anything attached to your screen - these would make an ideal solution. Make sure you know where you want to place the disc exactly before applying! I also thought they were excellent value.

Mijn dashboard heeft niet echt een vlak oppervlak. Met deze montage oplossing probleem opgelost. Tomtom staat als een huis. Wel van te voren je Dashboard ontvetten met wasbenzine.... gegarandeerd dat hij blijft plakken.

I've purchased this twice. I find them great. They work much better than mounting a suction cup to your windshield (which never works due to weather changes, moisture, and the curved windshield glass). I've even used the mounting disk in the summer, and the adhesive did not come off or melt in the heat (at least for me, they stayed in place). I've been using them for about 2 years now. However, follow the instructions during installation; in other words, (1) make sure to clean the area with rubbing alcohol before you put down the disc (both times I ordered this, for me at least, it came included with a pre-moistened, sealed, rubbing alcohol wipe - I didn't have to buy anything extra), and then (2) wait 24 hours after placing the disk before you actually use it to mount a device. Yes, I really did wait a full day to let the adhesive set properly on to the dashboard. Therefore, no, you can't put it down and start using it immediately that same day, if you actually want it to stay attached to your dashboard.

Questi dischi originali tomtom sono veramente ben realizzati, resistenti e di ottimo materiale. Nella parte inferiore c'è un ottimo strato di adesivo della 3M, che assicura garanzia per il vostro dispositivo purchè installato bene. Bisogna installare il disco in modo orizzontale sul cruscotto nel vostro veicolo, su superficie piana e liscia. Prima di procedere all'installazione fate delle prove e prendete delle misure in modo che il navigatore non vi ostacoli la visuale (sopratutto per i navigatori 6"), poi pulite prima la superficie dove attaccherete il disco e procedete incollandolo facendo bene pressione su tutta l'area del disco. Anche quando poi metterete il supporto con la ventosa (non inclusa ovviamente) fate bene pressione sul disco per fare aderire bene la ventosa (sua la parte superiore del diusco che la ventosa devono essere sempre pulite) e infine agganciate il dispositivo al supporto. Consigliati per sostituire la posizione sul parabrezza e se avete posto in auto su superficie piana e liscia (non tessuto oppure ruvida, e non curva visto che il disco non è flessibile, e per un corretto funzionamento, l'adesivo del disco deve aderire interamente bene su tutta la superficie di appoggio).
