OUTSTANDING SPEAKER: SOUND & VOLUME ARE AWESOME!
My speaker came today, so i cannoy speak to bettery life. I can say that it is a an excellent purchase! The volume is so loud i have had to turn it down and keep it well below max. I can still hear it throughout my home and on both porches! It is super attractive, compact and sturdy. The volume control works like magic. And I am very happy that the instructions were perfect: even though I am no techie, I got it to work within 15 minutes. Yes it's mono--i was worried about that. Insted I am realizing one reason for the superb sound when LOUD is that it is mono! And, mystations. including Sirius sound magnificant on this economical gem. BRILLIANT!

If only my apprentices performed this well! Exceptional little speaker.
I've had this speaker for 4 years and it's it's used as a site speaker for that time, the sound is great even at the highest volume, the bass is good, the Bluetooth connectivity is quick and reliable and the battery life is exceptional. This little unit has been thrown around a van, tool boxes, dropped, stood on, thrown, saturated in dust, paint and who knows what else, used indoors and outdoor in the blazing heat and the blistering cold and only now is it starting to show signs of fatigue which I have no doubt is due to the stressful life we have forced it to endure, all in all this speaker has out performed my expectation and has provided 1000's of hours of reliable joy to the work site, it has never once had problems connecting to my phone always connecting within moments of switching it on, the battery sometimes goes for a good week depending on usage, it has an auto shut off when a device hasn't been connected for a while or if you've paused the music which is perfect for battery conservation and the only problem it has started to face recently is with the Bluetooth connection being not as reliable as it once was however don't let this put you off as I can't imagine for one second it's the fault of the device but more the way I've used and abused this device, I'm amazed it has lasted this long but it is time for a new one and I will certainly be buying another one of these brilliant little work horses, farewell my little friend, you've lead an exceptional life and performed your duties masterfully, but now it's time to take a break, this speaker has been so good I won't for one second go into the bin but instead be used for it's aux connection and connected to a small DAB radio for use in the garage, after all we've been through and this little speaker has seen and done the bin would be an insult to its determination and grit!

Good value for money
So far so good. The speaker is solidly engineered and everything works as expected. It looks good and appears to be pretty well put together. I bought a white one and there are a couple of very small places on the front mesh that could be caused by the insides being vaguely visible. Not enough to detract but not 100% perfect. That said, it does look good and it looks more expensive than it is. Sons quality is acceptable. It's not as loud as I thought it would be, but for my purposes - using for background music when eating outside at - it's absolutely enough. To balance that comment, it is perfectly loud enough to fill a large room. In my opinion Bass is fine. If you like a particularly heavy bass then this is not for you. I would say that the overall tonal quality is fine So far I've streamed from my phone and played music from an iPod. Both were easy to connect and play. I plan on having a an SD card (the device and instructions refer to a "TF" card which I believe is a micro SD card) loaded with music and this is a feature lacking on many competitor devices. The touch volume control works nicely and it beeps when you hit maximum. All in all I would say that this is good value for money. It's not the equivalent of a Bose speaker, but then again you are not paying Bose prices for it!

Quality product at an affordable price
I took a chance on ordering this soundbar as I have not heard of Doss and I am so glad I did. I am so pleased with the quality, look and sound of this product. It was so easy to set up and the controls are on the top so easy to use. It looks stylish and the sound quality is amazing. I also received my order the next day through Amazon Prime which was a bonus.

Stunning audio quality - especially at the price point!
I traded in my Sonos Play:1 for a couple of weeks to fully test this product. I wasn't expecting Sonos level audio quality or volume at all - simply because of the price difference, size and tech - however I was pleasantly surprised as to how well this DOSS speaker performed. You can check out my full review on my blog: https:// willstocks dot co dot uk /review-doss-soundbox-portable-touch-bluetooth-speaker or use the link on my Amazon Profile. The DOSS Soundbox is incredibly compact. The Soundbox is constructed almost entirely of plastic, bar the thin, metallic grill that wraps around the main body of the device. This gives off the impression of almost “360 audio”, when as a matter of fact the two drivers are on the front of the device and point forwards. There are no garish brand logos on the device either. A small and simple logo on the front grill and the brand name on the right hand side of the speaker, both of which blend in nicely. Moving to the top of the device you’ll see the touch controls (more on this in a bit), which are a nice light grey colour when the device is turned off and backlit with either a blue or white light (depending on control) when the device is on. The rear side of the device is where the I/O is kept. Almost out of sight! You have a couple of options here: MicroUSB (Type-B) for charging, TF card slot (a.k.a. MicroSD), 3.5mm line in and the On/Off button. Pairing the Soundbox (via Bluetooth as opposed to 3.5mm) with your phone is incredibly simple, as long as your phone supports Bluetooth 4.0+ (which 99% of modern devices do). Battery life is always a major concern when it comes to portable devices, whether it’s a phone, speaker, laptop, drone or whatever else you may use. If you’re of an older way of thinking, you may also still be under the impression that Bluetooth is a massive battery drain! Well, fear not – DOSS claim that the Soundbox will give you around 12 hours of audio playtime (which in real world use is actually closer to around 9 hours dependent on volume of playback) from its 2,200 mAh Li-Ion battery – which is rechargeable via MicroUSB! Audio quality is probably the most important aspect though and is usually where the compact, portable speakers fall down – especially at this price point (£29.99/$33.99). The DOSS definitely lives up to it’s claims here. Whilst it won’t replace my Sonos PLAY:1 permanently, I’ve no gripes or problems about using this speaker at all. Volume is loud when you need it to be (a satisfying “bong” sound is made when you’ve turned the volume up as high as possible), audio is incredibly clear both in terms of music and phone calls, bass is decent (you can feel a small “punch” if your hand is near the speaker or resting on the surface next to the speaker). Push the volume up to the max (which is rather loud actually – especially if you’re inside a building/room) and things, surprisingly, do not get worse. Usually, the louder you go on a smaller speaker, the more distorted the audio becomes and the tinnier the bass gets – but somehow, DOSS have overcome this problem in their little package. Whilst it’s not the most rugged, it’s definitely one of the better sounding. I definitely wouldn’t be taking it outside with me if there were any chance of rain, a light drizzle or any bumps/bounces along the way. This speaker is definitely a fingerprint, dust and scratch magnet and I doubt it’ll get along well with even the slightest drop of water. Features: Capacitive touch controls Bluetooth 4.0, 3.5mm and MicroSD inputs 12W Stereo audio (2 x 6W drivers) with “uniquely enhanced bass“ Built-in Microphone Compact form factor (16.8 x 7.4 x 6.9 cm (6.6 x 2.9 x 2.7 in)) 2,200 mAh rechargeable Li-Ion battery Waterproof pouch in the box

Invest in the Doss, you won't be sorry!!! ;-)
Ordered this product on the 3rd June & it was delivered within the stated delivery time. It was a toss up between the Anker wireless Bluetooth speaker & this bad boy. This one won on the strength of the reviews, build quality & intuition, there was something saying "buy me, buy me". It was well packaged with instructions, a micro USB charging lead plus an audio lead for connecting your music source (phone, tablet, iPod etc) that doesn't have Bluetooth connectivity. To be honest, setting up & using this device is pretty much self explanatory. It comes with a micro SD card slot so I popped a 32gb card in the slot & away we go. Sound quality is very good/excellent & was verified after playing rock, reggae, classical & a bit of the blues. Mid range & bass are bright & punchy & little/no deterioration at full volume. Build quality as I said earlier is exceptional & I decided on the red one as a change from black or white, that said, the blue one stands out too. All in all, I'm very pleased with my choice and at £30 it represents excellent value for money. Looking forward to hooking up my phone via Bluetooth & adding a bit of musical atmosphere to our garden BBQ's. Footnote: it sounds great outside & the sound doesn't get lost at all. Update 07/07/2017, this is my go to music player, my younger brother came over for a visit & hooked up his iPhone and was extremely complimentary about the device, he said "I can't believe the quality of sound from such a small box" he was going to invest in one.

Listenable clear sound, but where's the 'unique enhanced bass'?
This is a good looking, decent sounding bluetooth speaker, which looks well made, but doesn't sound bigger than it is. Good points: The DOSS Soundbox is compact, seems solidly made (weighing in at a quite hefty 564g) and looks smart. It has a listenable clear sound, and plays to a moderately loud volume without excessive distortion. Battery life between charges seems good. It comes with a useful carry bag. Bad points: Where is the 'unique enhanced bass'? Bass is audible but small and somehow in the background. Also the five lights on the top seem to be on all the time, and don't give any feedback when you touch them. Sad to report, I couldn't get the DOSS Soundbox to connect via bluetooth to a windows 10 device, though it connected OK to android and ios. Sound quality: The DOSS Soundbox has quite a forward balance like many smallish bluetooth speakers (although this one weighs over half a kilo, so you might hope for more punch). The bass is reasonably well defined if you listen hard, but is not prominent in the mix, even when you place the speaker against a wall or in the corner of a room to enhance the bass. In short, it sounds like a competent compact speaker, and a lot better than many -- so if that is the kind of sound sound you like, the DOSS Soundbox is definitely one to consider, along with the smaller and very popular ANKER Soundcore at the same price point. If you are seeking a rich full bass, a speaker that pulls off the trick of sounding much bigger than it is, you probably need to look elsewhere (e.g. the more expensive Mighty Rock 6610 or Sharkk Boombox, especially if available at an Amazon lightening deal price)

One of the best gadgets I've owned
I've not had a bluetooth speaker before but I have to say this is one of the best gadgets I ever got. Its a decent size and solidly built, clearly good quality and very easy to use. Pairing it with my phone was a doddle, though be aware you need to charge the speaker fully before it will activate the bluetooth, and if its low on charge, the bluetooth won't pair, though you can use the included cable to connect to your device if you need to. The controls on top are very clear and easy to use, 4 white "buttons" for forward and back, also a pause button which cuts out the speaker sound and reverts back to the phone so you can take or make calls. The best part is the blue glowing circle in centre, which is the volume control, you just run your finger round clockwise to increase the volume, and anti-clockwise to reduce it, which is much better than a normal up/down switch (and I like the way it glows such a pretty colour... ). I was very impressed with the sound quality, on pop, rock and classical music there's a good depth of sound, both bass and treble are reproduced well and it doesn't get tinny or distorted at high volume. If you try and turn the volume up higher than is possible the unit bleeps which is quite handy (at this point i just up my phone's volume instead). I got this for Christmas and had it playing most of the day whilst cooking and eating food and after; everyone was impressed with the sound quality - highly recommended r
