How do I change a filter

Thanks for the question and happy to help.
When it is time to replace the PH001 filter, simply take the reservoir out of the pitcher  body and remove your old filter by gently twisting it and pushing from the bottom up.

To prepare and insert a new PH001 filter, please follow these steps:

1.) Please fully saturate your filter, soaking it for 10 minutes.
2.) Run water through the filter for 10 seconds while giving it a few good shakes.
3.) Insert the filter into the reservoir:
When inserting the PH001 filter into the reservoir, we always recommend putting the 001 filter in the reservoir while the reservoir is not in the body portion of the unit.
Please then give the filters a good twist as you push in.
Then we recommend grabbing the filter at the bottom of it and pulling it through, making everything as snug as possible.
This will create a seal.
 
You may want to hold the reservoir at eye level to get them in the correct way to see that they are even all the way around.
Fill the reservoir a bit, over the sink, and you should be able to see if there is a leak around the filter.  If so, pull the filter at that side a bit to correct. If you do it this way to see about the leaking, you will see that the water is going through the filter.
4.) You are now ready to go!

Do these filters filter out Hexavalent Chromium-6?

Thanks for the question and happy to help.

The latest version of our PH001 filter contains Zeolite. Zeolite is a 100% natural crystal that has been proven to effectively remove a high percentage of heavy metals, chloramines, chlorine, and fluoride from water. We have lab tested our PH001 filter using several water samples. The results show that a very high percentage of, but not all, things are removed.
 
The materials used in our filters have been rigorously tested by authority bodies such as SGS and independent ISO 17025 labs, as well as our own in-house engineer driven lab testing facilities to ensure quality from the start.

While we have lab results using water samples from a number of countries, we are still working on more third party lab testing to ensure any results that are published will be valuable to customers, and a good general guide as to what our filters can, and can't do.
