Is it pigeon proof?? They always find a way to tip contents out.

The construction of this device is simple but fairly robust. It allows small birds inside the outer bars and, theoretically, keeps out squirrels and larger birds. Not squirrel proof but most larger birds such as jays or pigeons seem to give up!

I dont get squirrels, but i do want to keep the Starlings from getting the nuts, will they be able to get their heads throu the squares. ?

The smaller birds get inside including sparrows. the starlings and similar sized birds can stretch in far enough to get a small amount but Ravens , crows and pigeons cannot. For the small amount that the mid sized birds eat it works well. don't forget though they also need feeding try giving them their own feeder.

Would pigeons be able to get to the food??

Hi, the gaps are small enough to exclude any bird or animal as large or larger than a squirrel. So pidgeons would not be able to get to the food. :-)

Would this work with suet pellets?

I use mine for sunflower and it makes life difficult for them. Having said that if, they are really determined they will hang off it, shake it and then jump down to the ground for the seed that has dropped out. Suet pellets being sticky might be more of a problem for them but I'm sure they'd keep trying!! Good luck.
