where do I get info to mods?

utube easy mod but you will loose the uk fm when done

10 to 12 ssb,,,4 fm,,,slightly lower on an,,,audio on ssb and am great,,,slightly low on fm,,,good piece of kit,well finished,can be modded,,suggest a power mike for fm,,,mind it is easy to adjust internally...

Hi. I would recomand a Mascot powersupply with min capasity at 3A at 13,6V. I use mine in a mobile home som it goes directly to the battery with fused line, but as a stationary radio, a 40-45W DC output should be OK. The small mascot power supply does not control the voltage as good as one with higher capasity. Is a full sevice manual available. You dont seem to get circuits now with radios!

No you don't get service manuals with the radio, only instructions on what buttons do what. Plus these little beasties are built with surface mount components and most people have trouble doing surface mount repairs. I had one of these radios when they first came out and to be honest I was not impressed because the modulation was poor to non existant. you would be better with two tin cans and a piece of string and it would transmit further than the Grant 2.Hope this helps
