I want to store two very expensive bikes** A: The box has a minuscule amount of plain old deterrent with a padlock - i.e. it would stop a kid coming in, opening the box and nicking the bike(s). A thief on the other hand would break the plastic bolt and be in in no time - a strong padlock on a plastic bolt! laughable. What you really need to be covered by insurance is the bikes secured inside to "Sold Secure" standard of which there are various levels (Gold, Silver, Bronze) see: google. But that alone is not enough for insurance as you are not securing the bike to anything. For that you'll need something in the ground or wall surrounded by concrete preferably and poking or chained to through the box. see: google Without that you won't be insured. And if you are wondering the same applies in your garage (all policies are different of course). **Q: Β£520.00 + Β£25 delivery... is it a joke or mistake?** A: Yes, its ridiculous. As plastic is cheaper, lighter and simpler to mass produce than wood or steel these should be far cheaper. I am pleased ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great outdoor stowage *by D***Z on 29 June 2026* This is a really good item, lots of space for stowage. Simple to put together and robust for outdoor use. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Solid, leveled grounding is a MUST *by C***P on 11 April 2026* Delivery was good, easily to put together myself but instructions can be testing. However, it was not until I completely erected it I found a crack in the base towards the back righthand corner hence the one star missing. I cannot be bothered to take it apart and send back, I have noted this matter has been repeated by other reviewers! The whole thing is flimsy but once erected its good...as long as it is on a solid, leveled ground, any uneveness it will not last, I also took the advise of another review to install a batten across to top of the doors, this definitely helps stabilise the whole thing, It is a bit of a pain to have it there but again, I agree with this review, maybe this should be taken into consideration in future designs. The size is good, it sits just inside my gate behind fencing, stores all my car washing stuff, hosepipe and 2 small recycling bins with plenty of room, I have put a three tier plastic shelving unit in there so all car washing stuff is in plastic baske neatly displayed, no more hunting for it. My opion on using this unit to store the larger bins is a great idea however, I would not say the base would take the weight of these if they were full, there is also a lip at the front of the base again, the base would not take the constant hammering of the full bins being pulled up and over this lip. Makes my space inside the gate looks so much better, looks cleaner its and pleading to the eye, pleased that I'm now more organised. I will think about another for the bigger bins but would defiantly solidize the base before hand. Price wise, Β£159 for the dark grey...the lighter grey or brown would have stood out like a sore thumb where I wanted it to stand.
