The perfect gift for new parents! Mums and Dads, breakfasts and bedtimes, toys and swings - and lots and lots of other delightful things! This endearingly illustrated picture book shows life as a new parent, from piggybacks to pushchairs. Delighting generation after generation of toddlers, The Baby's Catalogue belongs in every nursery. Discover more timeless stories for babies and newborns from Alan Ahlberg: Peepo Baby's Big Box of Little Books Review: Great for introducing a toddler to a new baby in the house - This book was around our house when I was a child and I remember loving the illustrations; it’s such a timeless classic. I bought this for my 2 year old daughter, mainly as a nostalgia treat for myself, but it’s actually been brilliant for helping her get to grips with having a new baby sister, by going through all the things that babies and families do daily; waking up and getting ready for the day, going to the park, food shopping, toys and playtime, siblings, and even a funny page on accidents where babies and toddlers are doing silly things. We read it nearly every day now and talk about all the things happening and what is similar to our family activities. She likes showing it to her baby sister too. It’s such a beautiful book, I would absolutely recommend. I’m a mum of 2 who does lots of research and reads tonnes of reviews to help me choose the best products for my family. Must buy for your toddler
Fantastic book. My 20 month old and I have so much fun with this. Her favourite page is 'accidents' and she chortles for hours at the baby falling down the toilet, the dog stealing the cake, the toddler with his head stuck. I still see new things every time I look at it and we have read it hundreds of times. Of course I say read and there are no story words as such. You make up your own story and share observations and point and laugh and generally have fun. Beautifully illustrated and endless learning potential. Love it

A lovely book to read to babies
I bought this for my new granddaughter. It's one I enjoyed sharing with my son when he was a baby and I'm sure my granddaughter will love it too. The pictures are amusing for babies and adults too - we always used to laugh together at the picture of the baby falling into the toilet at the end. (Honestly, it's funnier than it sounds!)

Fantastic book for toddlers, one of our favourite bedtime reads
I have read this almost nightly for the last 9 months with my now nearly 2 and half year old. He just loves it as, even though it's getting a bit dated, he can relate nearly all the pictures to his life. He will talk at length about each bit of detail in the pictures and goes through phases of different pages particularly appealing to him. He will even say "that's like me got", "that's what Harry do" etc. This is a great book as it encourages a conversation around what you're looking at rather than just being read too. A very close, friend of mine is due to have her first baby soon, after thinking long and hard about what I might get for a present I know that a copy of this book has got to be part of it! Ours is so well read it's now in three pieces!

A splendid book loved by both our children
Ahlberg books are firm favourites in our family - This book is no exception. I was a little sceptical at first that my little boy would take to it, but he loved, loved, loved it. Making up stories around the pages, choosing our favourite cake/highchair/teapot etc from the selection and spotting new details from beautiful illustrations. 7 years on and my daughter is just as obsessed with this book (and her brother still wants to sit down with us and listen in). I have since bought many copies for friends and family who have new babies.

The book I ordered was packaged beautifully, so it arrived with no damage at all.
I appreciated the care that was taken to package the book to protect it from damage, as well as the timely delivery. It arrived in even better condition than I thought it would. Thank you! The Baby's Catalogue is an absolutely wonderful book and actually good for all ages. For littles who can sit still to look at pictures, for young siblings who would enjoy identifying with having a younger sibling, for siblings who can talk the pictures through with their brother or sister, and for all of us who love to read to our kids and grandkids and experience beautiful books with them.

Favorito
