Good emergency bed
Nice and comfortable inflatable bed. Inflates and deflates as described. 4 stars due to losing some air during the night but not enough to impact the comfort

Great Value and Surprisingly Comfortable
Needed a temporary mattress whilst having my bedroom redecorated and refurbished. Purchased this as I thought, I only need it for two-weeks. I was pleasantly surprised, it has electric inflate and deflate mechanism, it didn’t loose any air over night, and although not as comfortable as your usual bed, it was perfectly fine for the short period. Great value for money, the only negative is that is difficult to get it back into the box. Would be great if this came with its own “rucksack” type covering for storage.

Very impressed! (at first) But not any more - now zero stars!
EDIT 5 months on... Below you'll find my original review. I now do not recommend this air bed! It has punctured for no reason with a small tear along one of the seams on the flock top surface. I now realise that the top layer is extremely thin and so very vulnerable to tearing for no reason. The bed has never been deflated & folded in the 5 months I've had it. It has always had a thick topper and sheet on top of it and no sharp objects have been anywhere near it. Yet the PVC has torn at the seam, producing a 3mm long slit. The repair patches provided are useless on the flock top (of course) so I had to repair with a heavy duty patch and glue. Unfortunately the patching is problematic due to the nature of the seam and the flock surface, so I've had to re-patch a couple of weeks later. So this bed has a severe weakness in the thinness of the PVC at the seams which will eventually causes tearing that cannot be repaired properly. I'm now looking at folding beds instead as this bed will need throwing out. Don't buy unless it's for a very brief period use. ------------------------ Original review: I purchased this to replace an air bed that I’ve had for years and years which just got too tired and kept deflating overnight. Here I’ll try to answer some questions you may have and express my opinion of this air bed. It arrives in a stout cardboard box with dimensions 17cm x 30cm x 40cm – which of course you will never ever get the bed back into. Nor should you try. The bed is specially and carefully packed in the factory in China to fit in this box. If you try to fold the deflated bed back to these original dimensions you may damage it. So you have to accept that storage requirements will be quite a bit larger than the box it came in. Incidentally a bag for storage is not supplied. Mine came with 3 self-adhesive patches in case of punctures – really not sure they would be strong enough to fix a puncture permanently but I hope I’m wrong. So – bed unfolded onto the floor – open the hatch and extract the uk plug (plastic earth pin) – plug in to a handy socket and turn the large dial one step clockwise to start self inflating. Time roughly 1 minute and 30 seconds and you have the extraordinary sight of a large single bed develop in front of your eyes. The dimensions are 187cm long 99cm wide 43cm high for the most part of the bed and the ‘pillow’ region makes the height up to 53cm at the head end. If it is of interest, the cable and fan control panel is at the foot end of the bed, as is the nozzle for inflation by other means if desired. In the box you get instructions in several languages and a leaflet explaining that PVC expands and that you should allow for an apparent deflation over the first few days of use. This brings me to the PVC smell. This bed stinks of PVC for a few days. Those that say it doesn’t have no sense of smell! The smell will go away over time but was very strong on first use. Just when you think it’s possibly gone, you pass by the room it’s in and you get the strong whiff again! There is no getting round that, it’s PVC and that smells! The instructions are correct – this bed ‘deflates’ overnight on night 1 quite dramatically – you really would think there was a leak. But perseverance will show that this ‘deflation’ is the PVC expanding and coping with the real world with a weight lying on top of it! At this point I’ll will say I weigh 10 stone 10 pounds – so not exactly stressing the weight carrying ability! So night 2 comes and if, like me, you've left it up, you have to top up the inflation before bedding down. You have no time reference this time so just let it go until it feels right (30 seconds or so in my case) . Night 2 will be much better as far as apparent ‘deflation’ and a smaller amount of top-up required. Come night 3 and you barely have to top up at all! You’ll find that top-ups of air are minimal from night 4 onwards and the PVC smell has gone! As I’m using this bed for the foreseeable, due to Corona Virus issues, that is pretty important to me. This brings me to comfort, a couple of issues, I will explain… The ‘pillow’ is hard and quite uncomfortable to rest my head on. I use a nice soft conventional pillow over this but I find it makes it little too high for my comfort. Really wish the built in ‘pillow’ wasn’t there but it is and I thought it wouldn’t be an issue. I guess I’ll have to get used to it. Then there’s the noise! This bed makes quite a bit of noise as I move. As I understand it, there are tubes in the interior as part of the structure. Well what ever it is, you certainly feel that there are internal things shifting about, particularly when you get off it! My goodness, listen to it pop popping as it’s internals shift about! I can’t necessarily say that these noises wake me up as I shift, but I am aware that I’m more wakeful in the night so far than on an ordinary mattress. Those asking about cats near these beds – forget it! Their claws will puncture this bed, as will any sharp object! If you want to take this camping, you will need a source of mains power supply or use the air intake nozzle via a suitable pump. The bed is water proof, obviously since it’s supposed to be air proof! But I’d be very careful about water near the electrical panel if using some source of mains supply whilst out and about! The flock top is a nice feature, but I would always cover it with a sheet of some sort. I just use a single, non-fitted sheet and it hangs over the sides, held in place a little by the flock finish. A fitted single sheet fit’s well and hugs the upper half of the bed. Overall I’m pleased with my purchase. The noises it makes, particularly when getting off it, makes it lose a star, but I definitely recommend this if you are looking for a handy bed that requires minimal storage when not in use.

Absolutely brilliant!
Update - My original review is below but I have to update - just ordered my third one! The first one lasted quite a long time and got quite a lot of use but eventually started to leak. So I bought another one. That one only got used a couple of times before it leaked. Apparently there is supposed to be a puncture repair kit in the box but I don't think there was one in my box. Meanwhile I bought a zedbed. But as it happens have a situation where I need more than one spare bed at short notice and the only thing I could get next day delivery was another one of these. So fingers crossed this one lasts a lot longer than the second one! I also ordered a puncture repair kit at the same time and will attempt to repair the first two. Because when it works it is very comfortable and convenient. Whereas the zedbed is a bit low. Best purchase I have made for ages. This is way better than those crackly beds at floor level you need to inflate with a footpump, This has a little comparment at one end, housing a cable with a 3 pin plug on it. You plug it in and turn the knob to "inflate" and it blows it up in about 2 or 3 minutes. Sounds like a vaccuum cleaner. It's quite firm but very comfortable. And it's the same height as a standard single bed. Important when my knees are so bad I can't kneel down and get up again. I am waiting for a stairlift to be fitted and stuck downstairs and after 3 nights on the sofa I couldn't stick it any more, so ordered this. It will also be handy for when we have visitors. Highly recommended. By the way the instructions tell you that the first few times you use it, it loses a bit of air during the day and needs topping up - and this is normal.

Great in theory, not so great in practice
Great idea, easy to inflate, comfortable however, deflates when using.

Easy to inflate, very comfortable. I used it for 2 months straight and I only had to inflate a little bit once. Quality is very good!
