I went with the metal version and I thought "what can go wrong? If it doesn't work, I can send it back". Oh boy... was I surprised. Installation takes about 12.5 seconds and you're up and running... and it's cool. figuratively and practically. What about hard facts? I got those too. My CPU usually runs at around 90-91 degrees Celsius under full strain. With the KLIM it runs at a rock solid 68 degrees Celsius. The KLIM metal casing does exactly what it's supposed to do. It works like a giant heatsink. The heat is nice and hot in the KLIM and NOT in my laptop. I use my laptop exactly like before, no weird pad underneath, no weird slant, you wouldn't even know it's there. I can wholeheartedly recommend the KLIM Cool Laptop cooler. (*smiles with a thumbs up*) Review: A little clunky, but does the trick (approx one week of use at time of review). - Pro: cools laptop quickly (I imagine that results will differ, but on my laptop the temp never goes above 45 when using this and never crashes or shuts down from overheating); if I did need to return this item, I feel like it would be very hassle-free as the customer service from KLIM seems great so far; noise isn't too bad, even on highest level (even if it bothers you initially I think you would get used to it, as I did, or else you can easily cover with music etc.); lights don't come on automatically (in reviews I have read of similar products, people complain about having to turn off lights every time you use device); very straightforward to install and use; will keep my busted old laptop running a while longer. Laptops with vents on both sides often also come with back vents. If you own such a laptop, you'd be better off using a cooling pad like the KLIM Wind rather than several turbine coolers like our Cool+. In any case though, you can still buy one Cool+ for each of the main vents of your computer if you would like to, you should obtain extremely good results but your setup will be quite cumbersome. You should be able to attach our Cool to one side of your ASUS rog Strix G15 however, you may not experience very good results as it will not offer a balanced cooling if you are only using one cooler for let's say either the right or left exhaust vent. You'd actually get better results using a cooling pad, as pushing cold air to the underside of the laptop should be more effective than blowing hot air out of its smaller exhaust vents ( the biggest vents are at the back but you may have a hard time fitting the Cool on them and it won't cover them entirely ) . To be fair, I would not recommend using our Cool or Cool+ coolers to try and cool down your gaming pc efficiently due to the way its exhaust vents are set. The rubber sleeves provided are here to help get better suction on the vent but none of those provided will be the right fit for the large vent at the back of your computer. These coolers are more suited to the side vents you can find on notebook-type laptops. The KLIM Airflow may be a really good option for your precise model, actually so I strongly suggest you take a look at it. It rattled very loudly even though on a secure base. I contacted the manufacturer who suggested opening it up to see if the fan was loose, the fan was sealed so I didn't want to do this. Did ask whether it was worth asking for a replacement but didn't get an answer sadly. The fan didn't make noise if you turned it upside down strangely.
