My son was a voracious beginner reader and school dont give him enough practice reading so we’ve been buying anything we can. These are fairly cheap and tacky but we’re after quantity not quality. Now he’s developed enough to be reading the doctor Seuss books but these were a great little cheap and cheerful stepping stone to build his confidence and now his little brother can use them while he’s learning too.

He is in P2 in Scotland. We did not get any books from school and he refuses to work at school at teacher time. I was very worried he was just not getting to practice so I bought this. They were perfect, come in sets of three on various levels of difficulty. He did not really want to try at first but since he could read easily the first page, he decided to keep going. He can fluidly read all of them now, after about a month, so i will keep looking for tte next level. I wish they had something like this at school.

I’m so impressed with these books. They are pitched at just the right level. They are short and sweet but have a cute/ funny story line. They are a quick read perfect to catch and keep the attention of my six year old son. Love them. Have bought most of them and will keep buying them. Check on eBay I might sell them on in a couple of years lol

Cute little set. Our five year old loves this series and the fact that they are simple books for her growing phonics skills.

Very great book and the author is a genius creating such a wonderful book to help children to read. I am very glad I picked up these books for my 5 year old son... I will be getting the whole collection too...

Just received the books, seem to be the right level for my 4 year old. However I was disappointed to find there is no book 10 in the box, there are two book nines instead.

Very helpful! My only gripe is it is too American and therefore a little foreign for my British daughter. But it is not a reflection on its effectiveness
