TireTek Compact-Pro Portable Tyre Inflator Pump

Like so many cars now days mine has no spare wheel, in fact nothing to get you out of a fix if you have a puncture. I decided I needed a decent tyre pump but was very wary of the ‘cheap and cheerful’ plastic box type products that are for sale, as I had one virtually melt down on me a few years ago that ended up not only not inflating the tyre but consistently blowing the car’s accessory fuse. After a bit of Googling around I found this pump and it appeared to be more substantial and generally better engineered. It arrived promptly and on unpacking seemed to be a substantial, well made unit. The whole thing, including various adaptors, (presumably for bicycle tyres, footballs etc.) comes in an elegant fabric bag with toggle closures, ideal for tucking away in your car’s boot. By chance my daughter’s car needed checking so it was an opportunity to give it a trail run. Plus points turned out to be:- 1. The 12v lead is long enough to reach all four wheels comfortably 2. There is a handy red LED on the 12v plug to indicate that the pump is connected OK 3. The pump’s white LED light is quite bright and I’d imagine would be very handy by the roadside on a dark night 4. The valve connector is a brass screw type fitting which in my experience is more reliable than the ‘click to fit’ vale connectors although care must be taken not to cross thread it. 5. The pump seems to run smoothly and took the tyre from around 22 psi to 35 very quickly with the pump neither labouring nor getting hot. 6. The pressure gauge was accurate when compared to a spare digital tyre pressure gauge I had. 7. The inflation hose seems good quality with the attachment to the pump going on with a nice healthy click and when extended is plenty long enough to make attaching it to the tyre straightforward. If you are looking for a pump to keep in your car in case of a puncture I would definitely put this high on your list. I purchased this pump along with some tyre sealant so, fingers crossed I should now be able to get out of trouble if I pick up a rouge nail in my tyre.

Very pleased with this. Much quieter than my previous inflator and works fairly quickly. The power lead is of a good length so the air hose doesn't get pulled too far. The valve connector is a screw on type rather than a clip on one so does take longer to connect, but really it's of little consequence. You will need to make sure your cars power outlet (cigarette lighter socket) has a 15 amp or more fuse, but as most cars have 2 or 3 now this should be the case. The light seems bright enough but I haven't had cause to use this in the dark.The gauge seems a bit 'ish', but if you're like me and like to be accurate then you will probably have a pressure gauge anyway. Comes with a nice zip up bag to keep it all together. I would recommend this for anyone who is thinking of buying a new tyre inflator.

This is a superb product. I have used 12v tyre inflators before, but have found them noisy, lacking in pressure and it takes an age to inflate a tyre, not so with this unit. The unit comes in it's own carry case which is a very nice touch. It has a long detachable power cable, and a long pressure hose which again is well thought out. The chrome type connector securing the pressure hose to the unit is a snap on connector and of very good quality. Also, the brass connector securing the hose to the tyre valve is a secure fit which fits securely and easily. The pressure guage is easy to see, and it took between 2 -3 minutes to fully inflate the flat tyre on my horse box, superb. There does seem to be some confusion regards what voltage is required in the fuse within the female cigarette lighter socket, but to negate this I bought a clip on cigarette lighter extension socket which just crocodile clips onto the battery. Keep the vehicle engine running, clip on and away you go....very easy. Would I recommend this items to friends and family, absolutely.

Firstly, 4 x stars, only used this pump twice so far, and if I award a 5 x star rating it leaves no room for improvement! Anyway, I am impressed with this seemingly solidly built little pump, and although I initially considered the bag a bit of a gimmick it really does serve a purpose, is well made and has a handy loop sewn in which helps to locate it easily in my boot. The pump has an easy read dial, is quick to inflate is quiet in operation and doesn't dance around the road/garage floor when in use. I cannot find any faults with it at the moment, I would recommend it to anyone. My wife even likes it, but only because it's cute and comes with its' own little handbag!

I love this inflator. Started with a lovely email from the seller before it arrived. Good clear instructions for usage, and extended warranty of 2 years on registration. The product goes back into its wee bag, a rare accomplishment for me. And it’s pretty easy to put together - the connection for the air pipe did baffle me temporarily. In use, it’s quick, it’s accurate and it’s quiet. Despite being a dial rather than digital it doesn’t judder as it’s in use so you can still read the pressure easily. The LED torch is a nice additional touch. Just be aware that you need a decent fuse on your cigarette lighter circuit, the product recommends 15v so worth checking/getting before the inflator arrives if needed.

After reading many reviews here I realised the read out may not be perfect. Also in the instruction we are told to have the engine running while using it, taking more power to the unit. Armed with this information, I got going. First, I used a reliable reader to check the current pressure in the tyres. My tyres are all 30lbs one tyre read 18 the others were 26lbs. I started with the low one. Allowing for pressure drop I went over a bit taking it to the top of the green band seen on the dial. Taking the unit off testing with my accurate unit I found it was 32Lbs so not too far off. I let a little air out to be spot on. I repeated this method with all four tyres, with ease. Superb, no back ache and tired leg muscles after using my foot pump. The unit itself looks strong and professional, plenty of wire to get to any tyre, a nice touch was the Velcro's band fitted to the wire helps put it away neatly the little "handbag" was a good help putting all away neatly for storage in the boot. The price I paid was a steel, I am very well pleased.

This product is just what I needed to replace an old tyre inflator. However, this Tire Tek product has brought me into the 21st century! It is a superb product - beautifully engineered with a very solid feel, whilst being very compact and light weight. It pumps efficiently and powerfully, and soon has the job done, with very little noise. It is supplied with a well-made tough fabric case that holds the components with a zipped flap. I am extremely pleased with this inflator and would highly recommend it.

Just fitted new tyres to my car and my car tyres should be 34psi all round, so says the label on my inner door part of the car. Firstly the LED torch part is not that bright but if functions, better than no light at all I guess! Though I keep switching the Torch on first before the pump itself, annoying but you can cope with this as the torch switch and power switch are right next to each other. The pumping up is decent, not super fast but it works at an acceptable pace. I decided deflate my tyres to 24psi. It pumped up the tyres, however, this is the "however" part, so I stopped at 34psi as the bar reader told me i was at 34psi, when i checked with my manual tyre gauge it was incorrect and was at 25/26psi. I had to inflate the tyres to 40psi on the machine, to get a correct reading of 34psi once i checked with my manual tyre gauge. It may be faulty I'm not sure, so will be getting another one for my other car, then i can compare the two. To be sure the Manual tyre gauge wasn't wrong, went to my local fuel station and it was bang on 34psi. This machine, does pump up, people say the digital ones are faulty in their reading but so it this, way off in fact. I'm only keeping it because I have a Tyre Pressure gauge to make sure I've correctly inflated the tyres. 3 Stars but really well made though and I'm happy enough with this and its small issues. 15th June 2019 ======= UPDATE: ======= This is my 4th use of this and it seems to have decided on the read out/dial it won't go beyond 20 Psi, one of my tyres i saw was a little low, so tried to pump it up, the thing would not go above 20 psi. I noticed where the attachment goes for the pump was piping hot and I let rip with some expletives, jesus thank god the item was on the floor already. Checked with the manual tyre gauge, it had not made any difference in inflating the low tyre. Took it too the local petrol station pumped it up to where it needed to be, this was 2 days ago and the tyre has not deflated, so this thing will be going back!! New review to reflect 1 star not even used it 5 times!!

War auf der Suche nach einem anständigen kleinen Kompressor, hauptsächlich um Fahrradreifen aufzupumpen. Leider gibt es da ja verdammt viel Chinaschrott der schnell kaputt gehen dürfte, um so erstaunter war ich über dieses Modell, das nicht nur recht schwer ist, also nehme ich an das es aus Metallguss ist, sondern auch einen semiprofessionellen Druckanschluß hat. Habe nun mehrfach einige Reifen damit aufgepumpt und die einzige Schwachstelle die mir aufgefallen ist, ist die etwas schlechte Standfestigekeit der Füße, was nicht tragisch ist da das Teil auch arbeitet wenn es umgefallen ist. Bis jetzt bin ich zufrieden damit, wenn gleich das Gerät schon ein wenig ackern muss um z.b. 6 bar zu pumpen, aber das ist halt üblich bei so kleinen Kompressoren. Man merkt aber das sich der Hersteller einnige gedanken gemacht hat, so ist der Anschluß mit der schraubbaren Ventilöffnung gar nicht so dumm konstruiert. Alles in allem durchaus empfehlenswert

Pratico e comodo. Cavo di alimentazione molto lungo che permette di arrivare comodamente alle gomme della macchina , ha una portata d’ aria molto importante quindi in poco tempo riesce a gonfiare una gomma molto sgonfia, inoltre ha una sacca in tessuto nel quale poterlo riporre con tutti i suoi accessori . Molto soddisfatto dell acquisto .

Parfait pour : des pneus de vélos , ballons et autres baudruches .... Manque un peu de souffle pour les pneus de voiture , mais on y arrive .....

El producto se ajusta totalmente a lo que esperaba de él, tiene una buena potencia, es relativamente silencioso y entiéndase por silencioso que no llega a ser molesto el sonido de funcionamiento, y además el diseño y sus cuatro acoples intercambiables para según que uso (hinchar colchonetas de playa, balones, globos..), son todo un acierto al igual que su tamaño reducido para poder llevarlo guardado en un hueco del maletero. Me convencieron de su elección en amazon tanto las fotos anunciadas como los datos técnicos del compresor en cuestión. Como única pega y solo por ponerle un pero, sería que las instrucciones solo figuran en inglés. Esto no hubiera sido un problema si al menos llevaran gráficos o dibujos explicativos numerados paso a paso para salvar, esa siempre molesta, barrera del idioma. Su funcionamiento es muy sencillo; 1. Se arranca el vehículo. 2. Se conecta el cable a la toma de mechero del vehículo. 3. Se conecta el terminal del conector rápido al compresor y el otro terminal a la válvula del neumático. 4. Se acciona el interruptor y se le da aire al neumático hasta ver en el manómetro la presión deseada. 5. Se retira el conector de la válvula y se coloca su tapón. 6. Se apaga el interruptor de funcionamiento y se retira el conector del mechero del coche. Comentar también que dispone de cuatro leds que se pueden accionar mediante otro interruptor independiente situado al lado del interruptor de arranque del compresor. Este detalle resulta muy útil en condiciones de uso nocturno. Para recogerlo muy sencillo, se desconecta tanto el cable de alimentación como el tubo distribuidor de aire tipo muelle y se guarda todo en una funda de loneta, tipo maletín, suministrada por el fabricante. Un producto totalmente práctico, de una más que buena calidad, un diseño muy acertado y con una relación calidad precio estupenda. El servicio de entrega por parte de amazon como siempre perfecto. Llegó en el plazo marcado. El servicio post-venta de la empresa del producto (compresor) un 10 por su amabilidad, interés y disposición. Yo personalmente recomendaría su compra. Tengo otro vehículo y probablemente compre otro igual.

Works good for the price some of the plastic grill was broken when I received it and it says 15 amp required I had to order a smaller one I have a 10amp on my bike
