Thanks!** A: Yes it is OK on an E-Bike, although if the chains is really dirty a mechanical chain cleaner with degreaser works better. You will have to rinse off the degreaser with water, but before using wet lube on the chain use WD-40 or other water displacement products, which will help prevent water being trapped inside the links. **Q: Does this repel water? I want to give my chain a thorough clean and then add a repellant to protect it from water and rust.** A: No this is a chemical degreaser. I spray the chain, use 2 cheap bathroom nail brushes squeezed around the chain, repeat that again,,rinse with soapy water, let it dry and lube the chain. Stiff brush on chain set and gears. Small screwdriver to get rid of excess grime on derailleur. It’s a simple, effective, and fast-acting formula that delivers brilliant results with minimal mess.The 400ml aerosol can is well-designed with a strong, direct spray and a nozzle that gets into all the small gaps and links of the chain. I use it mainly on my mountain bike and commuter hybrid, and it's equally effective on both. It foams up lightly on contact, clings to the chain for a few minutes, and then breaks down all the muck — old grease, road grime, and general crud that builds up from wet or dusty rides.What I love most about it is how quick the process is. I usually give the chain a few sprays, let it sit for a minute or two, then run the chain through a brush or chain cleaning tool. After rinsing with water or wiping it down with a cloth, the chain is left clean, degreased, and ready to re-lube. No residue, no sticky film — just clean, bare metal. Although I don't cover a lot of distance, it doesn't take too many days to notice the increased effort required to pedal due to the chain getting dirty. As such, the bike, especially the drive train, gets a wash every month. This product makes cleaning the chain and the cogs very simple by removing the worst of the grime on contact. Just a rub with a soapy sponge afterwards takes care of the rest and voila, the drive train is as good as new. My only negative is the quantity of Muc-Off that needs to be used. If I'm very careful I will get two applications from one can. This means that I have to order 6 cans a year.
