I couldn't see any difference in the quality compared to using Airplay over Apple TV.The cable was nice and long. It was easy to use, simply just plug in and play and there is no App installation required. Plus, it is really amazing that there is a usb port to plug lightning power or micro usb into so your iphones smartphones can have power while running. The video output was 1080P high quality image. And if the phone/apps are portrait view it will be in portrait and if they are landscape view the mirroring will be landscape. This adapter is so handy. I haven't stopped using it since I bought it!. This is a good thing, as it would allow users of older iOS devices to utilize the cord for mirroring. ### ⭐⭐⭐ Mixed results- not all downloads work. *by Y***A on 22 July 2018* Bought the cable mainly to use abroad to watch downloads from the U.K. providers such as Sky and Amazon Prime on a large screen rather than on a small IPad screen. Firstly, want to say that cable is easy to connect, need to use both usb and hdmi connections when plugging into TV and then click “trust this computer” on the connected device. Screen with the device content appears on TV. Which made me very happy for a moment, until I started trying sources that I actually want to access. And I want to report that unfortunately the cable doesn’t work for my purposes.To start with, I discovered that Sky considers TV connected to your device with this cable as a separate device and does not allow streaming OR watching downloaded Sky content. May be there is a way around it, but I’m not a techie so don’t know.Amazon prime, both streaming and downloads are not working either. Streaming produces a “viewing error” and downloaded content though seems to be playing in the background, screen remains black with no picture both on the device (IPad air) and on the TV screen. So, cable is not useful either.I also tried BBC, ITV and Channel 4: live TV and Catch Up TV work for all three of these. So, if for some strange reason you need to watch terrestrial TV through a device connected to TV, it is possible with this cable. I only hope, that this will be the case abroad through VPN, will try next time.Also, internet content, including YouTube is accessible, so you can watch YouTube on a big screen (if you don’t have WiFi TV) using this cable.I have not tried downloads to a device from other sources/ using other programmes as simply don'thave anything at present on my device.Hence, I conclude that it’s a bit “hit and miss” with this cable. Whilst I understand that Sky doesn’t work due to their own set limitations, inability to watch amazon prime downloads were disappointing.Also, HDMI connection bit became very hot very quickly so not sure if it’s going to last. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Nice product.
