Pressure is the key
Joins carpets quick and easy found that applying pressure to join works best put some weights on a piece of chipboard for a couple of hours .

Good for a DIY repair in low tyraffic areas but don't expect it to be like a professional join.
It depends on what you want it for, it is sticky enough to stick to the carpet but not to the extent taht it couldn't be pulled apart again. So it's good but don't expect it to be as strong as a professional join, I have a rabbit that keeps pulling it up, which was the reason I needed it in the first place, thats how I know it can be pulled apart! If not for the rabbit I would think it would be OK. I'd certainly use it in the corner of a room which is what I used it for, I can't say how it would perform in a high traffic doorway, it may be OK but I wouldnt count on it since it is not an irriversible bond.

For joining carpet segments together
Needed to replace a piece of carpet inside a doorway that had become frayed due to being snagged by a vacuum cleaner. After cutting and removing the damaged section and cutting a new piece for the gap, I used the tape to secure the two pieces to together. I did not want the hassle of using tape that would require heat, and as most reviews of this tape for this purpose were good (not idiots using it to secure rugs/mats onto a carpet!!!), I took the plunge and ordered it. Peeled back the covering and placed it under the edge of the fitted carpet and placed the new section onto the tap (although it is double-sided, I did not stick it onto the underlay). It is holding the join very well and even held together when I lifted the carpet a bit to trim the edges to fit round skirting etc. Very pleased with the tape, and even more pleased with the job I made of it! :-) If you want a quick and easy fix, this is the tape to use, plus not expensive. Update 6/12/23 Just had to lift the piece of carpet that I used the tape on to stick onto the main carpet. It was still adhering and did not come away in folding back the carpet. Very pleased, as I did not have to re-stick it!

Amazing, grips perfectly.
This product is amazing, it grips perfectly, with no movement at all. Then when you want to take up your rugs or carpets, itโs easy enough to remove this gripper tape, with no sucky residue left. I would definitely use this product when sticking rugs or carpet runners to tiled floors in future.
