Not just for your coffee table!
I'm already a fan of Vanity Fair magazine...a great mix on interesting articles & good writing...so I love this book which showcases the very best of the magazine over its impressively long history. Great to read through, or just to dip into now and then. Something of interest on every page...guaranteed!

I LIKE TO LOOK
This is thoroughly absorbing. Like a previous reviewer I opened this up and lost a few hours to it. A voyeurs paradise. Top quality images . Definitely one for the coffee table.

I've had it for a few weeks only and am still in the '50s, just soaking up every word... Extremely well written (as Vanity Fair always is), it's a an American history chronicle as well as the iconic magazine's evolution through time. Reads like a novel and feels like a "behind the scenes" at the Oscars at every point in time, with all the celebrity tidbits... so much more than a coffee table book! If you enjoy the magazine, you'll love this compilation so masterfully (and lovingly) put together by Mr. Carter and his collaborators.

Fantastic book! Worth the price. The content is fantastic. Beautiful pictures depicting important & historic periods in photography in one book. Awesomeness! Was delivered w/front wrapping torn. Returned seamlessly - reordered - 2nd try was delivered perfect.
