As I Am Coconut CoWash Cleansing Conditioner 16 oz./454 g

I have coarse, wavy hair and I’m really fussy about anything that claims to “cleanse and condition” in one, because a lot of co-washes can leave my hair feeling heavy or coated. This one doesn’t. It cleanses gently but still leaves my waves soft and defined without that greasy, weighed-down feeling. My hair feels moisturised but still light and bouncy, which is exactly what I want from a co-wash. It’s especially good for textured hair in our house – we all have similar coarse/wavy textures and it works beautifully across the board. No dryness, no frizz explosion, just soft manageable hair. If you’ve got thicker, textured or wavy hair and want something that hydrates without flattening your natural pattern, this is a great option. Soft, clean and still full of movement.

This co-wash is great for in-between wash days. It cleans the scalp gently while keeping hair moisturised. The coconut scent is mild and pleasant, and hair feels fresh rather than stripped. Very useful for maintaining curls without over-washing.

This product is AMAZING I swear by it. I have never ever ever had a shampoo this great. I cannot believe I just washed my hair and this just made my hair so healthy and curly and not dry at all. If you have curly hair you MUST buy please you will not regret it. The shampoo is great because I could put it from root to the ends of my hair and I combed while having the shampoo in my hair which I could never do before. Great value for money Thank you!!

This co-wash has given me fantastic results on my thick, coarse hair. It makes my hair feel really light and allows it to curl beautiful with no frizz. I've loved how my hair has looked and felt since using this. It also was very kind to my scalp, on which I have moderate psoriasis. No irritations and actually seemed to reduce my flakes. However I'm deducting one star for a number of reasons. First of all I feel it's quite pricey for how much you get. The tub looks big but it barely lasted me a month even though I only wash my hair every second or third day. Maybe I was using too much of it, so if I order again, I'll reduce the amount I use and update this review to report my findings. Secondly I find the fragrance nauseating. I have a very sensitive nose so this is somewhat on my part also, but I found the product became more pungent the deeper into the tub I got. It is a nice smell but a bit too much at 7am when my senses are barely awake. Overall I found it to be a great product and would recommend.

I converted to cleansing conditioners about 10 years ago and would never go back to normal shampoos (strip your hair of all moisture) and conditioners (leave your hair soft, floppy and flyaway). I used WEN cleansing conditioner for several years but it's expensive so thought I'd try some others. Started with Pantene's Co-Wash Conditioner and I'm very happy with it but you can't see how much is left in the bottle and whether you've managed to get it all out. So, tried this 'AS I AM CoWash' as it's in a tub and you can easily get the last dregs out (I'm Scottish and thrifty!). It's got a mild pleasant Coconut fragrance, it lathers up nicely (but not too much) when you rinse it out with water, it's left my hair easy to comb through when wet and it left my hair soft, smooth and manageable. It's not just for those with curly hair- mine is thin, fine and flyaway with a slight wave. It stops my fine hair going all flyaway but it doesn't leave it heavy or greasy like some conditioners do .I find that, with my hair type, I never have to use a separate conditioner with these Co-Washes as they really do cleanse and condition in one go.

I bought this for my wavy, fine hair after seeing recommendations on reddit. I have previously used Noughty's co-wash, which was alright, but I found it too heavy and oily for how fine my hair was. My hair tends to get greasy within 24-48 hours of washing, and as its fine it really shows on my head. However!! This stuff - a miracle. It doesn't keep oil away for any longer than any other method of washing (at least for me), but being able to use this and it being so gentle and detangling (plus, its as quick as a 2 in 1 shampoo/conditioner so great for early starts) really helps keep it longer between washes. I was washing my hair every 1 or 2 days, double shampooing each time, but I now use this every 2-3 days and wash it with shampoo once every week-week and a half. This has made it so much more manageable, without weighing it down.

Hair conditioner, leaves hair nice and soft

This co-wash works really well for my long 2a type hair. Washing with it feels a bit weird as it doesn’t lather like a shampoo, but it does clean the hair. The product is easy to use and smells lovely. After ‘washing’ and rinsing my hair I add a few drops of oil to the conditioning stage. Leaves hair clean, moisturised and defines the waves.

Like how it easy it makes to wash my hair when I am very busy to do a complete wash. It keeps the hair hydrated and has good smell.

I don’t usually review products because I have a hard time finding the time to do it. I believe I’ve reviewed one thing here on Amazon. The reason I decided to write a review for this product is because it’s changed my life! My hair is long, straight, and fine and I would say medium in thickness. I color my hair (blond) and I also have Lupus so my hair has a hard time in general. Lately, for some reason, my hair has been so difficult to detangle. I have a good brush and was using an expensive shampoo and conditioner that were both sulfate free. When I tried to add more conditioner, it would get that greasy feeling the day after I washed my hair so I ended up having to wash it all the time which put more stress on my poor hair. I have been curious about WEN products but I absolutely refuse to spend so much money on a product that I would probably burn through in a week because I believe, according to the directions on WEN, I would have had to use 20+ pumps each time I washed my hair. So, to be fair, I can’t compare this product to WEN as I’ve never used it. Honestly, I chose this product over some other cleansing conditioners in the same price range because of the ingredients list. In my opinion, natural is best. Firstly, this product smells DIVINE. It lingers on your hair, too. Secondly, I was able to comb my hair out IN THE SHOWER which I’ve NEVER been able to do. Lastly, my hair was left feeling and looking very clean. I watched some youtube videos to get some clear instructions regarding co-washing because I had heard that if you didn’t do it right your hair ended up being greasy. I scooped out the product and made sure I got it on my entire scalp and worked it all the way down to my ends. I bent over in the shower because it was easier to really massage the product all over my scalp with my hair hanging down. I combed it out, twisted it and clipped it up while I went on with my shower. I kept it in for about 15 minutes and then made sure to wash it out completely. I let my hair air dry and when it was completely dry I could tell a HUGE difference in the way it looked. No frizzy, puffy ends and hardly any fly aways. My hair looked shiny, felt really clean, had body, and looked almost partially straightened. I love this Co Wash. I will NEVER go back to regular shampoo and conditioner. I know some people have complained about the lack of a pump on this but I like the tub because I can get to the very bottom instead of having to take a pump off and bang the bottle to get the remainder of the product out. I hate that!
