Review: Great, tough silicon-made item - I bought this to use with a Lodge cast-iron skillet (bought from desertcart.co.uk, too)... It remained in a closet for a few months (waiting for the skillet to be used first) and then... voila! Its true purpose was revealed: My old Insinkerator (waste-disposal machine, bought from this, very desertcart) was giving up the ghost. But before it did, finally burst (it was actually the capacitor which blew) with a little smoke, it tormented me by letting out, in unexpected times/moments, electrical surges. The surges would be felt upon touching the kitchen tap (faucet). No electrician was able to find the source of the surges and so, until the Insinkerator's capacitor had its one and final burst, from the fear of electrocution, we abandoned the kitchen faucet and kept using the bath tap instead. Which we weren't sure, whether it was safe to use. Until the Insinkerator-damade revealed itself, we would suspect anything. So we put this thing as a cover on the bath tap, rather as an insulator, and it fit wonderfully (I should post a pic). Finally: Problem solved (Insinkerater disposed), the silicon-item remain on the bath-tap. I think of buying another for the skillet... :-D

Hot handle holder for cast iron pans. Does the job reasonably well but some of the heat does get through. A bit on the pricey side for what it is. Delivery within expected time span.
