Can you use this bracket with a dot and dash wall without cutting out the plasterboard?

Yes I used normal raw plugs 8 of with a 10mm drill bit (not supplied in kit)

I plan to you this outside for the summer. Will it survive the rain and cold all year round?

It's metal so most likely will but I doubt a TV will last the rain

Is this suitable for a built TV wall? As it is flat to wall??

As my tv isn't totally flat at the back (10 yr old tv that I wall mounted in the bedroom) so it stands out approximately 2" I would say if you have a totally flat back tv then it would fit fairly flat with approximately 1" gap. I'm very happy with it and it's excellent quality.

Can a sound bar be mounted on the bracket

I don’t think you will get the sound bar on it if you have the tv mounted on it. I have my tv on the bracket and my sound bar underneath held up on the two screw which slide on the back of the speaker
