I wanted to have a WiFi Alexa dimmer switch for a celing light rather than using expensive smart bulbs. The issue you hit straight away is the need for a negative feed if you want to put the module in the light switch as well as the space in a normal 25mm deep wall box. They are out there but come at a price. The next option is to put the module in the light or the ceiling void. I managed to get it into the light rose which had the space. Wiring was fine although you may as I did some wire tails and additional wago connectors to get it all smart and tidy. The instructions are small but easy to follow. WiFi intergration was easy and I used an APP already in use so did not use the MoesGo APP. Integration with Alexa was seamless and so far is working fine.

Like many I have a live only light switch. Wanting both wifi control and dimming it didn't leave much option. However I have a neutral wire at the light. So what if I fitted a control within the light? The MoesGo dimmer was my answer. With a few patch wires it was good to go. Connecting was easy as I have some wifi plugs working on the same platform. The dimmer unit fitted within the light bar so it all went together really easy. I now have a remote light that both works and is dimmable. Well worth the cost.

I must say this is a tiny device and well made. Well done Moesgo. And it really works, once you overcome the pairing challenges as per another customers question. The challenge is that the beep from the device to confirm its in pairing mode is very unconvincing... the instructions say it will beep... beep but it only makes a short single sound and so you aren't convinced. Add to this the app (Smartlife) is a generic app and so its instructions about blinking lights isn't applicable and alternative pairing modes etc... and the app can take a few minutes cycling to 100% to say it hasn't succeeded. Shut power off and try again and this time hit the switch 5 times and you are still not convinced it will ever work. If I am honest, I shut the app and the device a few times and then realised the device was on the app and ready to work. Survive the above and you have a brilliantly simple device registered to Alexa and Google Home. And to confirm an answer to a question, the light switch position no longer matters as activating the device from any of SmartLife App/Google/Alexa reverses the state of the light ie. Switch on, App turns off. Then throw the switch (to physical off position) and it comes on... I know it takes some convincing but the switch is now only reporting a change of state because the switch line is now wired into the MoesGo device. I was concerned about access to the device if I lost power or wifi connection so I tested this before putting it up in the ceiling void (in a small plastic IP44 junction box). So I can report either lost power or lost Wifi, it remembers setup and you dont have to do the first paragraph "challenge" again. To conclude; you need to persevere about the pairing process (I did it on a test rig on my desk rather than in the ceiling void) but once operational, its a dream to use and connectivity to Alexa and Google Home are fabulous too. Come on MoesGo, just iron out the pairing sound and you have a winner.

Works very well - instead of having to buy an expensive smart light switch the works without a neutral (and most need a hub as well) - I fitted this in the ceiling where the light fitting is attached - there is a neutral there. It is quite small and I managed to hide it in the light fitting but if not I was going to put in the ceiling and mount to the hoist where the wires come out. It comes with a nice mounting clip to hold it. Was very easy to pair to the WiFi using the app and it all worked well. I have now added the skill to Alexa and I can control the light perfectly. Remember you have to have a push to make/momentary switch to control it - not a traditional light switch so I had to buy one of these to replace the traditional light switch but all good. I will probably buy another 1 or 2 for other rooms in the house.

This is a excellent price of equipment. I purchased this to automate a 7 pedant light fitting I had installed. The option of a smart dimmer switch would not work because there’s no neutral present in the switch box. It’s small enough to fit into the recess above the light fitting and was simple to wire into the ceiling rose and light. Easy to setup using the instructions and the Smart Home app. Adding this skill to Alexa enabled control of the light through Alexa too. Completed installation to automation in about an hour. I’ll be getting more of these.

The switch installs well, the switch connect well, but it doesn’t work well with my inwall retractive switch. It does not switch on and off with the physical switch always. Sometime it takes a few tries , and sometimes I give up and just ask google assistant to switch it on

I use this dimmer to control the LEDs in skirting boards. It was easy install with the instructions included. All terminals on the dimmer were clearly marked. I don’t remember the description stating that I need a light switch wired in too. No biggie, though. I just used some old switch I had. I control the device with Smart Life app so I cannot say anything about Alexa/google integration.

Tried to control 65watts at 0.7 amps. This just got very hot and cut out until it cooled. Definitely not rated for 150 watts at 16 amps! Maybe mine were faulty. Buzzed and got hot. The pairing instructions you will have to work out for yourself unfortunately. Great idea but not ready for sale

Le produit est raisonnablement facile à installer dans le blochet pourvu qu'il soit profond. Son appairage peut demander de la patience (5 essais dans mon cas, mais le réseau WiFi des "IoT" est distinct chez moi ce qui ne simplifie pas) et il faut tenir compte d'une petite erreur dans le manuel (il n'y a pas de lampe témoin, remplacée par des "bips" et la réinitialisation est donc plus délicate). Une fois réalisé, le fonctionnement est parfait. Il reste à évaluer la fiabilité dans le temps...

Anschluß ist sehr einfach und anhand der Zeichnung auf dem Dimmer selbsterklärend. Zu beachten wäre allerdings dass dieser Dimmer bei den flachen Schalterdosen plus Taster nicht passt. Sollte aber nicht verwunderlich sein, ein Elektronischer Tastdimmer gängiger Schalterhersteller sind da nur wenig besser. Bei Hohlwanddosen ist ein Tausch der Dose ja relativ problemlos. Bei flachen Dosen in Mauerwerk hilft eventuell die Dose hinten etwas aufzustemmen. Die deutsche Anleitung kann man per qcode runterladen. Aber sowohl in der beiliegenden, als auch ein der deutschen Beschreibung, gibt es einen Fehler. Der Programmiermodus beginnt nicht durch ein Festhalten des Tasters für 10 Sekunden. Wenn man die Smart life App kurz vor der Erstinbetriebnahme bzw Anschluß der L1 Ader schon in den Suchmodus versetzt, ist es relativ einfach...der Dimmer ist sofort im Programmiermodus, welches durch einen schnellen Piepton signalisiert wird. Verpasst man diese 120 Sekunden, kommt man eben nicht, wie in der Beschreibung angegeben, durch ein 10 sekündiges Festhalten des Tasters in den Programmiermodus, sondern muß den Taster mehrfach (6 bis 7x) drücken und wieder loslassen. Immer ca 1 Sekunde drücken und 1 Sekunde lösen usw. Sollte er nsch 2 Minuten den Programmiermodus nicht selbsttätig verlassen, einfach den Vorgang mit dem abwechselnden Drücken wiederholen. Nutze den Dimmer einmal mit einem 12V Seilsystem mit LED Leuchrmittel und mit Einbaustrahler Hochvolt LED. Bei meiner Kombinstion funktioniert die Dimmung von 100% bis 1%. Sollte es bei Leuchtmitteln zu Problemen kommen und diese fangen bei einem bestimmten Dimmwert an zj flackern, kann man den Dimmbereich einstellen. Von mir eine absolute Kaufempfehlung.

En resumen funciona muy bien y nos gusta como funciona, hay videos en YouTube y se engancha fácilmente a la aplicación, luego controlarla por la App, por interruptor o por Google/Alexa es inmediato. Pero cuidado hay que cumplir con unos requerimientos : 1) la red wifi debe ser 2.4, la de 5 no vale. En mi caso (Livebox Orange) he tenido que deshabilitar el wifi inteligente y dejar solo activa la red 2.4 2) los leds claro tienes que ser regulables 3) me ha costado bastante dar con el cableado correcto : vale perfectamente el interruptor de toda la vida, lo que pasa es que hay que darle como si fuera un pulsador : encendido-apagado uno detrás de otro. Medio segundo entre apagado y encendido. Y el cableado....adjunto lo que a mí me ha funcionado, espero sea claro. 4) cuando el módulo entra en modalidad conexión, hace un pitido PI-PI-PI bastante fuerte y rápido. Cuando se conecta, se calla el sonido Me gusta este regulador porque cuando se va la electricidad, al volver guarda memoria del estado anterior : si estaba apagado se queda apagado. La conexión con los Home Assistant súper fácil así que sin comentarios. Espero ayudar a más personas.

Ho acquistato questo prodotto per "gioco" e per provare una soluzione ad un problema casalingo: in casa ho interruttori, prese, ecc... di una vecchia serie bticino ormai introvabile, qualche settimana fa si è rotto un potenziometro che regolava accensione, spegnimento, dimmerino di una presa alla quale è collegata una piantana alogena. Come detto, il potenziometro è ormai introvabile e quindi ho deciso di combinare questo modulo dimmer con un semplice pulsante della vecchia serie bticino. Risultato: ha funzionato, quindi riesco ad accendere/spegnere (premendo il pulsante) e dimmerare (tenendo premuto il pulsante), inoltre ho la possibilità di controllare il tutto tramite applicazione del telefono (applicazione SmartLife compatibile con molti altri oggetti intelligenti). Per ora sono estremamente soddisfatto!

Schnell eingebaut und angemeldet. Hatte nur vergessen , das der vorhandene Wippschalter gegen einen Taster gewechselt werden muss. Wird aber nachgeholt. Solange eben mit Alexa.
