I love this bit of kit. I was so unsure what to get (so many different sorts of record players with so many different reviews). I liked the look of this, simple, nice bit of wood, not too many unnecessary functions (I dont have and cassettes and already have a CD player etc). My only concern was about the speakers. I worried they might be too small and sound rubbish. However, I was amazed at how good they sounded. Easily liveable with should you not wish to plug into external speakers or hook up to hifi etc. I have also purchase 2 speakers which plug into the headphone socket, just in case and indeed these do add extra umph. This arrived last night and I spent the evening cleaning and playing a good few of my old vinyl. What an amazing experience it is to revisit old records (some I have not play for 30 years). I now have the vinyl bug and will be seeking more on my travels. All in all I am really pleased with my purchase. This is nice bit of kit, with a good sound and very reasonably priced. I have yet to record anything but may do in the future.

What a cracking little record player. Arrived today and already converted x3 albums to mp3, very easy to set up and download the software. From arrival to playing records, about 25min. The speakers are NOT great but have it running through my pc and the digital sound is perfect. For the price it is a great bit of kit 👍👍👍

Before choosing this I'd looked at turntables half the price but decided this looked more robust, more aesthetically pleasing, and had the closable lid and slipmat that some cheaper models lack. Having had the turntable for a couple of days and played a variety of 12" LPs and 7" singles (some from the 60s and a bit scuffed) I'm really pleased with it. Not tried 78s as we don't have any. It came triple boxed. It actually took me a while to get through all the sticky tape and cardboard but that meant the item was well protected in transit. The power adaptor was hidden in the polystyrene so took a search to locate! Set-up after that was very easy, just a case of removing the needle cover really. It's a solid piece of kit - with the exception of the stylus arm and arm raiser lever which I think will need a gentle touch. Whilst it feels solid it's not too heavy to move around comfortably if one wants to take it to different parts of the house. Sound is very good with the built in speakers and even better with my Sennheiser headphones. I've not tried connecting to external speakers but the instruction booklet seems pretty clear on how to do that. So far I've had no problems with records skipping at all. I haven't tried the software to convert LPs to mp3 but it looks like it'll be straight forward. I'm really enjoying giving my parents' vinyl collection a second lease of life with this turntable and would recommend it. UPDATE: the turntable suddenly stopped working after ten months. ION tech support said it was probably the pre-amp (the records were spinning but no sound was emerging except for at the needle) and advised me to return it to the retailer for repair as it was still within warranty. Amazon sent me a return authorisation, I sent it back and got an immediate refund. I'm ordering a replacement of the same model because, apart from the fact it stopped working, I have been really pleased with the player. I'm hoping I was just unlucky in it developing a fault but have revised my product rating from 5/5 to 4/5..

Because I have a lot of records I took a chance on buying this record player as I have been thinking about it for some time but was concerned about the sound quality. I am so pleased I did. It is a really neat, good looking player with a surprisingly good sound quality for the size and the price was incredible. I can now play all my records instead of keeping them in a box. It was well packed and very easy to install and use. I haven't tried the Bluetooth connection yet as haven't felt the need.

This is a lovely record player, and one that looks smart and sounds great. My wife and I were looking for something to listen to the old albums in the loft, but the price of record players has gone through the roof nowadays. After looking around we chose this one as:- Pros: Looks lovely, wood effect base makes it stand out and suit our lounge Original sound - the tone coming out of this reminds me of the old record players I used to have. I plugged a set of speakers in to this but it sounded too bassy - the inbuilt speakers are perfectly adequate for the sound, in fact they are loud enough to have good sound quality through my lounge to the dining room. Auto stop - the record turntable automatically stops when it gets to the end of the record. Plastic lid - there is a great plastic lid that covers this unit , that stops dust getting in and still keeping it looking great. Cons : I couldn't think of too many - but the lead is quite short, so you need to think carefully where to site this. No record stack option - I remember on my old record player in the eighties you used to be able to stack your 45s up - but I haven't seen any record players that have this nowadays! So overall - get out your old 45s and 33s and relive your youth with authentic sound on this great looking piece of kit.

Good product overall, however at higher volumes regardless of needle placement or whether there's a record on or off, there is static - similar to having a headphone jack partially plugged in, a constant hum. Sounds like poor wiring. The in built speakers aren't terrible considering the low price, records don't skip and play well and steady and the static isn't noticeable when a record is playing, however in quieter parts of the songs it's definitely noticeable - the preamp in it isn't very loud so listening at full volume when the issue is at its worst is almost a necessity, if you only use the speakers this is a very good value product but if you use headphones then this issue might be really irritating!

After reading a bunch of reviews I finally pulled the trigger and bought this unit. Super happy I didn’t listen to the negative reviews. I have records I haven’t listened too in over 30 years that this unit plays flawlessly. The speakers that come with it are small so the sound is what you’d expect. If you want more, just buy external speakers like you’d have to do for any other unit. This unit is pretty rock and roll, I’m not sure what all the negative reviews are from. I guess hipsters that thought they’d get better than digital quality music from a record player. If you’re looking for a cheap record player that can do it all this is it! Rock on 🤘🏼✌🏼
