It’s not designed for this function. There are other proprietary products on the market that would be more effective

Q: Does this perform well in a wet room i.e. open shower area with no shower tray, just tiled floor? Grout always gets v dirty on tiled shower floor.

Sorry not sure if it would be any better on a wet room shower area than using on an ordinary shower tray. It's a good product but ensure the area being sealed is spotless, I used pure alchol to clean first the area first and let it dry out. I also did not use the shower for a good 48 hours after adding the sealant. It lasted over 5 years before I removed it and added a new bead on the surround. Hope that helps

Q: Can it be used on rubber pipes behind the sink in the bathroom?

If you don't have a water leak and your only filling gaps It should be ok.
