I am a brunette but your description refers to blonde hair.  The bottle looks like the one I normally buy.  Is this conditioner  for blondes?

The product does not state for blondes. This is used in my hairdressers on everyone. I have blond hair and purchase it for myself as they are fabulous both shampoo and conditioner, however my husband has dark hair and he uses it, so I would say in response to your question "no".   Hope this helps.

Does this shampoo work for greasy roots? I have fine hair and need a shampoo that will not weigh down the roots but does moisturise

Not at all. Alterna has another shampoo from this caviar gamma that is specifically for thin hair, that one adds volume, but I do not think it is for greasy roots either
