A super easy way for stability.
It may be difficult to see from the photos, but I have this mounted on a shoulder support that goes over one shoulder and the lower arm rests upon your belly area which makes for outstanding stability..... (Which can also be found here for sale on Amazon). The shoulder support was very hard and uncomfortable, so I attached a faux sheepskin cover and that really helped with the comfort issue. Once attached, this rig allows for amazing stability whether I am shooting live, or still shots. I would go as far to say that this has better stability and is easier to control than any of the gimbals that I have used in the past. Also, with the shoulder support, it allows me to not have to use the grip handles all of the time because I can hold onto the lower portion of the shoulder support that is lower and closer to my body and it gives me just as much control as if I am holding the grip handles....this also helps with fatigue, as it is not necessary for me to have my arms held up so high for extended periods of time. I have an iPhone in the pictures but am actually using the Galaxy note 9 for shooting. I wanted to use the galaxy for the photo review, so I couldn't do both at the same time as I was using it for the photos posted here...in the near future I will use the 1/4 inch connectors to add an led lamp, and external microphone. I will also be mounting a 3 way tripod head between the phone mount and the shoulder support to give me total flexibility with angles. I have a portable external battery backup that I can throw in my gear backpack which will charge my note 9 approximately 10 times without a recharge, so I will be able to shoot all day at outdoor concerts, events and festivals. While this setup won't be ideal for everyone, it suits my needs perfectly and I reccomend the mount for anyone that is looking for an easy way to add stability to their photo/video needs.

This thing is great
I saw a recommendation for this product by Think Media and it was a great value for me. It holds my iPhone 11 perfectly without having to take it out of the case, leaves plenty of room at the end to plug in my mic and holds my phone securely. Has plenty of attachment spots for lights and mics and spots to attach it to a stand. I havenโt used it in a situation where I needed to hold it, but for the situation that I use it in, itโs perfect. I only attach a light to it, and boom my mic but itโs sturdy and balanced. I have no worries while using it. Great value for the money.

Excellent value for nonprofessional uses and users
Iโm very satisfied with this rig at its price point. It easily allows me to avoid handheld shots (as an older person thatโs especially helpful). And, it fits very nicely into situations where I donโt need the benefits of a gimbal. The rigโs feature set is very adequate for ordinary smartphone videography. I donโt feel my smartphone is at risk of falling out of the rig or being damaged by the rig. I find the rigโs width to be adequate to ordinary shooting situations where typical things could be plugged into my large sub-mini-tablet smartphone. My only concern is the build quality. Part of my concern stems from the impression I had from other reviewers about the overall sturdiness of the rig. The build is lighter than I was expecting, making it a little spooky to use with anything but lightweight attachments (limiting more than I expected, for example, the type of LED lighting Iโd be comfortable using). Thereโs more flexing within the rig than I was expecting. But I wouldnโt call the rig flimsy, either. I think the real problem is that my expectations were a little too high. More of a concern is the fit and durability of the cold shoes. Attachments fit loosely in the cold shoes, and the plastic seems not to be of uniform thickness (making the process of clamping attachments into the cold shoe feel less than positive). But I remain satisfied with my purchase, with those few caveats. Certainly the rig represents an outstanding value for nonprofessional uses and users.

Helpful tool but I've used better cell phone clips.
I film YouTube videos with my iPhone 13 mini, which does great except in low light situations... so I bought this primarily for the cold shoe (to mount a light on top) and in summary that has been a very useful feature for a reasonable investment in the rig, a light, and a small tripod. I do have some specific comments, though... 1. The cell phone clip is a key component of this device (arguably the most important part). I find it to be an odd combination of a very strong spring and a screw to hold it in place AFTER it's already clipped in. I do not find it easy to use (even with my SMALL model of phone, in a slim case). Also, the red rubber cushions inside the clip were prone to popping out from the very beginning and (not surprisingly) one of them eventually got lost altogether. I am unclear about whether these rubber cushions are actually necessary. But I've had cell phone clips (on tripods, for example) that worked better than this. 2. The rig feels good in the hands and it frees up one hand to interact with the touchscreen more easily. (But I don't find myself carrying it around for this purpose because my iPhone fits in my pocket and this rig does not). I do use it for shooting by hand in specific cases with a light in the cold shoe mount; when I know in advance that I need to put some light on my subject for a while. In general I use my Xenvo tripod (even for shooting by hand) more than I use this rig. That's not only because the tripod is easier to use and to carry around, but also because it makes a better selfie stick. 3. Since I don't shoot with this rig much by hand (see above), I usually use it with a tripod (i.e., set up with a light on top). I find it to be a bit bulky perched on a tripod, so I use it with the larger of my two small tripods (a Gorilla Pod designed for a DSLR rather than a cell phone). It *might* work with my Xenvo tripod, which is built for a smaller device like a cell phone or GoPro, but I predict it would be prone to tipping over in many shooting conditions. In summary, I'm the kind of person who likes to have the smallest and simplest possible kit. I don't enjoy collecting all these accessories. But I don't regret my purchase because with the cold shoe mounts, this rig does something my other accessories don't.

Weโve been using this since it was purchased and Iโve gotta sayโฆ I am extremely impressed with itโฆ. Itโs sturdy and extremely well madeโฆ it clamps your phone extremely secureโฆ. If I had to pick something that I didnโt like about it.. It would only be that when using an iPhone 13 pro max it can be a little tricky to get it in and outโฆ but thatโs not because of the clamp as such itโs just because the phone itself with a case is HUGEโฆ but having said that you can still get the phone in and outโฆ so all in all itโs still worth a buy. ๐๐๐ป

I live this gadget. I often use it mounted on my camera tripod. It is sturdy and has room in case you attach a receiver to your phone for external mics. I would buy this again.
