The pot is well-designed. It is heavy, sturdy, and looks great. No visible flaws I could find. I used it just once to make a beef chuck roast. Worked very well on my induction stove. My 7.5 QT oval pot easily fit a 5 lb chuck and became crammed only after adding a 2 lb pork hock and potatoes. Cleaned out perfectly. Love it.

This Dutch oven is a beautiful, rich red color that I absolutely love (my photo does not do it justice). The finish is really smooth and glossy. I was hesitant to use it on my glass ceramic cooktop, but after receiving the product I am not worried that it will scratch or damage anything because the bottom is flat and perfect. My main intention is to use it in the oven to make chilis, stews, pot roasts, pot pies, or for baking bread (I want to try sourdough). I think it will be great for these foods. I made chili with chicken in it and it worked very well, with really nice even heating and nothing got burned. It is very heavy and feels very durable. Since it is cast iron underneath the enamel coating you do have to be careful in two ways. One, you don’t want to scratch the coating and two, if you drop this pot it could definitely break other dishes. Also it says to be careful not to shock it with abrupt temperature changes. Since I am using this for larger cooking items like stews for in the oven, I got the 7.5 QT oval size, but if you are cooking for only 1 or 2 people or not making large quantities I think the smaller round version would fit better on the cooktop and be easier to handle because it would have a smaller size and weight. This product is so sturdy that I think I will be able to use it for many, many years. It also cleaned up really easily with no issues. So to sum up this seems to be a great quality product and at a great price. And the amazing color makes it beautiful looking too! I would buy it again and it would make a great gift for newlyweds.

Der Topf hat bis zur Oberkante ohne Deckel gerade mal knapp 5,5 l. 7,5 QT sind mehr als 7l! Es ist nicht ersichtlich, dass sich der Inhalt aus Topf- plus Deckelvolumen zusammensetzt.
